Wow!!! Just got back from seeing sleeping beauty it was amazing from start to finish we loved every minute of it we went to Watford last year and were so disappointed and wasn’t sure whether we would see a pantomime this year but the grove have restored our faith in pantomimes it was brilliant thank you

User

Will always give this Theatre a 5 star rating, the staff are great, I mistakenly booked the wrong seats and they happily changed them for me, always willing to help with my disabled husband and always cheery. I notice the bad reviews due to the bad weather that are totally not necessary. The production company are the ones at fault not theatre staff!!!!

User

Went to the grove about month ago to watch 10yrs of dance as my granddaughter was performing in it the grove is the best thing that's happend in Dunstable town been there many a time and the staff are lovely to

User

It was the first time that myself and my family have visited the theatre today. We came to see Beauty & The Beast. We all thoroughly enjoyed the show and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. My daughter was particularly impressed with the fab range of interval ice cream (always a priority for 7 year olds ) We thought that the Theatre was lovely and will definitely be back soon to catch another show soon

User

I found the staff very helpful. The Theatre, itself is well layed out and the atmosphere is not oppressive, which I appreciate. I don't like to feel penned in. Tonight's performance of 'The Complete Works of William Shakespeare - Abridged' was hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. :)

User

Huge thanks to the box office for being understanding and rearranging our seats for the panto performance this evening because of the snow. Great customer service to swap us to seats on Saturday 30 December instead and we look forward to joining you then for our annual panto visit

User

Had an absolutely fantastic night with my mum watching Les Musicals and at the meet and greet with Jonathan Ansell and Rhydian. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning!

User

Grove was good value for money seating was nice and roomy and people was very polite and caring there would recommend grove to friends

User

Been coming for a few years have always enjoyed it but this year was the best ever loved the casting and all the effects would highly recommend it

User

Awesome pantomime. Great cast, choice of music, set design, costumes, comedy and the surprise at the end of first act was amazing and terrifying. Loved every minute of it. We will definately be back soon.

User

Went to see the Panto tonight and I would have given it a 5* but this year it was quite frightening for little ones :(

My little girl was in tears several times and other little ones were also in tears too.

The Panto itself was really good, celebrities were brilliant and the jokes were on point but maybe tone down the scare factor a little at a family panto... X

User

We went to panto today. It was my first to the theatre here taking my 6yo with friends.

It was a an exvellent show with a great cast i thought Jangles was the best.

Not too sure about the prince's solo song and dance with the 3 ladies with a young audience.

Greay performance thank you

User

My daughter and I visited the Grove for the first time, to see Giovanni's dance show and it did not disappoint! It was easy to find from the directions given; there was ample parking at a reasonable price and the actual theatre was a nice size. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. My only criticism was that there could be more seats in the atrim for people to sit on before any show.

User

Went to see The illegal Eagles last night who were fabulous and very professional when the PA broken down (more than once ).

My main problem was that the theatre was freezing, never have I had to sit with my coat on for a performance anywhere .I wasn't the only one either .

Great Theatre but let down last night by your lack of heating.

User

We had tickets booked for physic Sally on Friday night and due to the severity of the weather we couldn’t make it. We just physically could not get out of our village (we did try to). I feel it was very unfair of the grove theatre to basically say it’s up to us whether we attend or not. The roads were far to dangerous and we were being warned to only travel when necessary ! The customer service side of things I think is a shambles. We should at least be offered some sort of gift voucher or refund. I will be thinking very carefully as to if I ever book with the grove theatre again ! I feel extremely let down by the whole situation.

User

Was due to see Forbiddon Nights here this evening but as the entire country is fully aware it is not safe to travel. red weather warnings and police urging us not to travel. the theatre have been inundated with requests to reschedule the show for safety reasons but they choose not to and claim that it is safe to travel and the road the theatre is on is fine. Yeah because everyone lives on the road of the theatre. sorry Grove but I was not risking my life for you. now do the decent thing and offer your customers a refund or replacement tickets!!

User

Soooo... I've been here with my maid of honour and best friend seeing various shows.. Until tonight when we were supposed to be seeing forbidden nights. I only live in luton. 3 Miles from the grove theatre and yet from my house I was unable to get a mile up the road. Back way was closed, Motorway was bumper to bumper and at a standstill. Beds police were advising to only go out if absolutely necessary. The only people that would've been able to make it tonight were people who live in walking distance. And yet grove theatre decided it was safe to see the show and refused to cancel/reschedule. Yet they cancelled a show yesterday when there was barely any snow. Grove theatre please do the right thing and give people who couldn't make it another show or there money back!

User

I will start by saying that my family and I use the theatre frequently throughout the year and have never needed to complain before...BUT following the advice given to your paying customers that it is ok to travel to see Forbidden Nights in the adverse weather conditions we are currently experiencing, I do not think I will be booking again. To be told that the roads were "safe", "clear" and "gritted" is disgusting. They were DANGEROUS! I drive past the theatre twice daily and there were cars skidding, and my own car, travelling at 11mph, would not brake due to the ice just yards away from you outside the college. This was after work so I dread to think what they would be like after the show. The police and highways agency also advised people not to travel as the roads are unsafe.

The right decision would have been to postpone the show and transfer tickets but instead we now have to email the production team for them to make a decision on whether we can have a refund.

Future shows, including the panto, will now be booked at MK theatre as they showed care and concern by cancelling/ refunding their guests.

User

I really am very glad to hear that a ‘large’ proportion of tickets holders were able to make the show on Friday. I struggled driving home from work on Friday afternoon and was not prepared to put myself at further risk, for something that wasn’t an emergency. I think you were irresponsible to even allow the show to go ahead when advice from the highways agency and police was not to travel, unless necessary! I appreciate the weather was not down to you, but it wasn’t down to any tickets holders either and was a legitimate reason for non attendance.

Under the circumstances, you should refund anyone who was unable to attend the show due to the extreme weather. Especially if, as you say, such a large proportion made it, the refunds would only be a nominal amount! To offer film tickets at a fraction of the cost is an insult.

As a gesture of goodwill, I will pass on my disappointment to friends and family and will, in future, source shows and pantomimes’ anywhere other than The Grove.
