Growing2gether is a community food growing project that supports people to grow fruit, veg and flowers as well as providing outdoor educational experience.
Growing2Gether Description
Growing2gether is all about plants and people!
Our projects:
Supported Volunteering: We support adults with learning disabilities to spend time working outdoors, learning about gardening and taking part in group activities.
Volunteering: We take on volunteers and offer training in gardening, grounds maintenance and woodwork. Large groups of corporate teams come and help us on bigger projects for a day or two each year out of the office.
Education: We teach young people about nature through learning in the outdoors. We run courses for families, family fun days, a Forest First nursery and we host schools for curriculum based learning days. We also offer Outdoor Learning Experiences, fun alternatives to birthday parties learning about nature through playing outdoors.
Events: We run events for local people to try and connect people with each other and the environment.
Vegetables, fruit and flowers: We sell our produce! Drop by our site between 10-3 weekdays to hand pick your dinner.
