No one votes for a better resourced legal system, so no one should be surprised by the below par service. There seems to be a policy of trying as hard as possible not to speak to court users. If you can get hold of someone in the "support" centre, staff appear to have been briefed to provide the stock answer: "We are not allowed to give legal advice" for as many queries as possible, even administrative ones.

I have been advised that Guildford county court no longer takes calls, it has to be written communication for those trying to ring them.

Though getting through on the phone was not easy, but the UK court system is wonderful in comparison with the USA. The system was clear and I was able to represent myself with success. A huge thank to the very professional staff and judges at this court. They were all helpful in explaining certain items that I did not understand. A big thumbs up.

It's a court, not a hotel. You won't go there for fun

I have spent two days repeatedly calling and being cut-off time after time with no success and so have emailed in some hope of a result there! They are clearly understaffed, just another example of the state of this country. Very dissappointed, but not the slightest bit surprised.
