With my friend having a few too many, I was pleasantly surprised with how compassionate and fair the door staff and security were with regards to her.

Something many folks on the door lack is this genuine care for public safety and enjoyment, thank you!

Went on a Monday night and so wasn't overly busy but had an amazingly cool atmosphere, the cocktails are two for £10 before 10pm which is to not be missed out on! All the drinks were lush, so gorgeously presented and one even came with bubbles!!! The pinball machine was really awesome and it's just in general a cool place to be (and the staff are lovely!) a very enjoyable experience �

My first visit there, what can i say....great venue, great music, cocktails were amazing and was greeted with friendly staff. Will definitely be on my bar crawl list the next time i'm in Manchester.

Lee & Lewis was the top god! Helped me with choice of drinks & night out! These lads are a great part of your company!

Favourite bar in NQ hands down. Music they play is amazing in there, especially in the week. Sometimes they play punk sometimes prince! Sound bouncers and staff too. My ideal place to go for a beer.

gutted that I actually had to leave 1 star as I think they deserve less than that. after coming to your 'club' this evening I was left feeling sickened and disgusted by your 'door staff' Patrick, who I can only describe as HOMOPHOBIC and revolting. after being told that my friend who is gay couldn't come in wearing trainers, which I fully accept, he then decided it was acceptable to say it was because she was gay that she was not allowed in, we were then laughed at HYSTERICALLY when asking for a manager which is a joke. would like to be contacted by said manager as I want to take this further. as a member of the LGBT community I am left appaled and disgusted. Wouldn’t recommend going to this place for a night out at all. Last night I was about to leave with my friend but wasn’t allowed to take the rest of my drink out, to which the bouncer shouted at me and asked ‘are you thick in the head is there something wrong with you’. When I said I will quickly drink the last bit and leave he took it out my hand and threw it on the floor and then shoved me out of the club. Absolutely disgusted. I felt threatened and unsafe as he was shouting right in my face and wouldn’t let me leave. I have reported this and will not be coming here again

Worst door staff ever, made to wait 20 minutes only for someone to come down and say no more guys mate there's too many, I wouldn't of minded of this if I wasn't made to wait before or if I was in a big group, but there was 2 sober lads meeting a group inside, better bars and better doorman elsewhere

Went here for the first time on Saturday night/Sunday morning with some friends. Within 5 minutes of arriving, whilst stood at the bar, somebody stole my phone directly out of my handbag. The security couldn't care less, and basically laughed in my face telling me it wasn't their problem, and that they had to work the door so I had to go back inside and leave them alone. Since complaining to GBA I've discovered that at least one other person had their phone stolen on that one particular night alone! Having read the recent reviews beneath mine, it seems that GBA have a reputation for attracting thieves and this seems to be an ongoing problem. Wish I'd known that before last weekend. I've been going out in Manchester for years and I've never had this happen to me or anyone I know. Clearly they attract dubious clientele and their security could not give a shit about patrons being robbed. If you like your belongings, don't go here. The drinks are also overpriced and shit. They don't numb the pain of being robbed whatsoever.

What gives? Why is this decision in place?

I can't even tell you how appalled I am, we have been to this club multiple times but this time the bouncer (Patrick) decided he wasn't letting my gay friend in, it started with because she was wearing trainers which is absolutely fine (even though we witnessed multiple people entering in trainers) but it was the very homophobic comment that is absolutely not acceptable! He in fact told me to mine and my friends face that she would not be coming in as she is a lesbian, to which I replied 'can I please speak to your manager' this was laughed at straight to my face and was told this was not going to happen! I then proceeded to ask why and this was again laughed and and dismissed with the reason 'because I'm not'! I hope you take this matter seriously as this is not only highly offensive but is actually illegal to discriminate, if you carry on to employ such people then I can only assume that the upper management also agree with their employees comment.

Booked a booth for hubbys 40th turned away at the door as 2 of the party wearing trainers. Lost 10 paying clients. Wouldn't mind we were in last week with work and several in party had trainers on. Make your mind up.

Bag stolen Saturday night. Door staff not interested, bar staff not interested, management not interest and were in fact obstructive. Asked around and apparently a common thing here! Reported to police and will be going to the council - this place should not be operating as a venue. Treated disgustingly.

A bouncer said to me I wasn’t allowed in because I was wearing trainers and because of my coat. He also said to my friend “she shouldn’t be here she’s a lesbian and should be in the village” he then said to me “you can come in if you get on your knees and beg” at this point we left and went to another bar.



I couldn’t believed what I was hearing, it’s disgusting and has obviously happened on other occasion and something needs to be done about it...
