I have just been sent this fantastic old photo of my cousins 2 door Range Rover for which we helped supply a lovely Rovercraft 3.5 V8. He rallied it in Kenya in the 1990s and it is still going now! In those days we traded as Gumtree Enterprises. This was on the Caltex Equator Rally in 1996.

We are closed today, Saturday 28th March. This will be the first normal Saturday that we have not been open since 2000 if not earlier! Our current plan is for three of us to be working next week to finish work that we have in hand for people who need their vehicles but will not be open for casual visitors. Some potentially useful information here re MOT testing still being essential at present. As far as I understand it using your cars and vans without MOTs will be illegal unless exempt and you might also invalidate your insurance. Our local MOT testing station is still open and we would advise you to keep on top of the MOT so that there is not a panic when things do return to normal! Dear Friends and Customers: we are open and currently have a pretty full diary with a tiny bit of wriggling space for emergencies if genuine. We are asking customers to arrive with clean hands, to maintain a good distance from us while on the premises and to be reasonable in their expectations in the current rather testing times. Regular customers in need of repairs or spare parts will know that we will always do everything possible to help and carry a lot of the every day essential spares and service parts on the shelves. (If you have bought all your spares elsewhere on line and suddenly find you need one odd minor part do bear in mind that we may not be so keen to assist....... :) ) We hope that you stay safe and well!
