Total disagree with the first review given by someone who clearly is a miserable soul. What do they expect for £8.00.We visited the restaurant and found the food to be an amazing range if dishes. The restaurant may be a little "tired" but the staff were extremely polite and made our visit memorable. The only downside was the weather which they had no control over. I will endeavour to return!

Our most visited restaurant in the Weymouth area and we have been in there probably 25 times and the food is always good,last couple of times we went in the food was Luke warm so spoils it but will go back soon

Never had a duff meal there ! Staff always lovely and friendly and a bowl of freshly cooked garlic chicken arrives at the table for my friend within 5 mins of getting there as this is her fav dish ! You cant beat that for service !

Very clean good prices .nice views. Front of lake by boat needs clean up. But will be back for meal again.we arrived twenty mins before closing but still served very nice and not rushed out at all.five stars from me in food and how clean. Service five stars

Love the food at the Gurkha, 9 of us went to celebrate father-in-laws birthday, great food and service, only complaint they ran out of the chilli pork 😒 Which was a shame because I only got 2 small pieces left over and it was yummy. Otherwise no complaints from us, loved the noodles so much can't wait to go back again.

I'll always give this place a 5 star ... very clean in side .. foods always hot .. and staff always friendly ... I'd say to all it's worth a try .. and for the cost there hard to beat .. just always grate food u can see being cooked

Went there last night I found the staff helpful and friendly I enjoyed the choices I chose and so did my wife would go there again but would always go near begging of service when the foods are fresh

We've been to the Gurkha twice for a meal out now and both times throughly enjoyed ourselves. The food is amazing. I am however a ceoliac (gluten free) & feel that maybe the dishes need to be labelled which are suitable to eat as last night I was very unsure even after having two members of staff try and explain. Even just a little sticker on the dish labels... (A Little 'GF')

Not bad for the prize you’re paying👍.I’ve been to more expensive buffet restaurants they serve the same food but costs much more.

Lovely location where it is located. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The food was delicious! Wasn't enough variety though and took a while to find the desserts. Apart from that, was very enjoyable.

I was so looking forward to going, but when we arrived the first waiter was obviously not a happy man. I did find other waiters much more friendly. The food itself was average and needed more of a selection. The atmosphere was ok but lots of young crying children. I do have a young family and appreciate that children cry but lots of children lots of loud noise sadly I probably would not go again .

I visited as a party of 6. The food was tasty and hot but unfortunately all the different types of menus that is listed on the website wasn't really there. It's all very basic dishes to choose from. I was a little disappointed as I was looking forward to trying some different "all you can eat dishes" Wouldn't return in a hurry.

From the lack of food which was available it was at best, average. The waiter was incredibly rude and I'm not sure if he knows what manners are. Being gestured to pass our plates to him rather than being asked nicely. Would have received a 3 or at a push 4 star rating if not for the rude and miserable looking waiter. Other staff however were polite and knew what service with a smile was. A real shame for a restaurant to be let down by one employee.

Poor value (£12 each) for vegetarians: chips, noodles, spring rolls, mini samosas, seaweed and dried out dhall less than 4 spoonfuls were what 2 of us had. When I asked "where is the mutter paneer?" I was told "we'll get more on Wednesday" :(

Me and my partner went last night and while the staff were polite and service was excellent the food was very poor. Some food was hard to chew chips had hairs in it and it didn't taste good. I wasn't impressed and didn't think it was worth £12 pp the only positive point was the wine was ok and drinks were reasonable.
