Went at the weekend with my wife & had a wonderful meal. Staff couldn’t do enough for you & food was delicious. I usually go to my local Gusto in West Bridgford, Nottingham which we love & Mere Green did not disappoint, 5 stars �

We have been four times now it’s my new favourite place. We have really enjoyed every meal we have had there and love the new lunch and evening meal deals. They make it very good value for your money x

Second visit today and I absolutely love this restaurant! Food is excellent and the service is superb a big mention to Liam the manager, it was my nans birthday today and he was so welcoming and looked after us with prosecco and strawberries and a dessert with candles for my Nan she loved it, she was made to feel so special! Thank you � defiantly recommend!�

Myself and my husband took our two young children for lunch at Gusto. Service was spot on, our waiter was very helpful in explaining a couple of options on the menu that we enquired about. The food itself was delicious. Definitely coming back.

Massively recommend this restaurant. Had a table of 15, they were consistent with emailing and the food came out correct, hot and tasty. Huge 100%

Just had one of the best pizzas I've ever had, crispy thin base, just right. And the chips were well nice too. Will definitely go back. Oh yeah, my girlfriend also loved her sea bass.

Enjoyed an excellent brunch with my family yesterday. It was delicious and the service top notch too. Always enjoy coming along to Gusto in Mere Green as there’s always a great ambience and consistent delicious food and drinks.

Came a couple of weeks ago with friends as a celebration, couldn’t fault a thing. The member of staff was attentive and informative. Service was spot on and the food provided was of very high standard. Very enjoyable experience in very comfortable surroundings we will definitely be back.

5***** Highly Recommended

Visited without a booking on a Thursday evening. The two of us were seated within five minutes and drinks and starter orders were taken straight away. The venue was very busy and vibrant, with a few large parties in, but staff were still very attentive. The starters arrived quickly, mains orders were taken and then served in a good amount of time. Both dishes were very nice. We had smoked haddock risotto and the chicken and leek. I wasn’t hungry enough for a dessert though. Maybe next time...

I went to Gusto on Friday 25th May without booking a table as my little girl was 12 days old and we weren’t sure if we’d make it out and if so, what time! There were 4 adults and our baby girl in the party.



We arrived around 6pm and the place was busy, we were told they didn’t have a table in the restaurant free and with enough space for a pram but we could eat in the bar and order food at the bar. This was perfect for us as we were away from other guests in case she cried and we sat close to the toilets out of the way.



A waiter came over to take our drinks order promptly and when my husband went to order our food at the bar, the same waiter insisted he came over and took our orders at the table, nice touch. He was really attentive constantly topping up our bottle of water for the table.



Our mains arrived promptly and the food was good, everyone finished their main. We were offered the dessert menu and ordered, there was some wait with the desserts, longer than with the mains, and from my opinion, the tiramisu and brownies ordered were on the small side, albeit the tiramisu was lovely.



Overall, we were treated well despite walking in on a busy Friday night without a reservation. Our waiter was one of the best waiters I’ve had in years! The food was tasty too, I’d just like more pud!

Went last night Told before we had sat down that they were busy and needed the table by 8pm which wasn't a good start Food and service good but very loud More like a pub atmosphere Food prepped where visible so noisy if you sit on that side and waiting staff constantly passing We were given the wrong bill at the end of our meal too Will return and hopefully rate the experience better

As for the 8pm finish, we left at half 8

I visited with huge party of gals friends very special birthday celebrations on Sat 17th March. . I phoned before hand if they could cater for Vegans. . Yes they said!

I then checked in with them upon arrive. . Again yes we will cater for you.

I am not a fan of smoky food. . Had to settle for soup. . Main only option they had was gluten free pasta. . I don't eat or even like pasta. . And not gluten free! Did not enjoy it at all. . Had a rotten stomach ache all evening. . Didn't like to create fuss as it was my lovely friends celebration. . Dessert was the final straw. . Nothing only ice cream I don't like cold icy food. . I literally had to beg for bit of fruit. . Waiter face and tone was so unhelpful! I got 1 strawberry cut at angles with 2slices of oranges. . He stared over at me to watch if I was eating it. . I was made to feel a nuisance. . For £36 this meal was not value for money. . I don't expect to hear back from them. . Don't care Attitude was plain to see. . Unpleasant dinning. . Thank God for the Wonderful lovely ladies company.

Waited 30mins just to order a drink, then another 20 or so for the drinks to arrive, in fact the staters arrived before drinks and we had to chase the waitress to get drinks. Food was ok, my chicken was over cooked and dry. Disappointed, had hoped for a better experience.

Disappointing. Went with some girlfriends last night, food was average at best and service was poor. Took them ages to take our order, the food arrived before the drinks and it was that loud in there we couldn't have a conversation as we couldn't hear each other. Won't be rushing back.

Can’t fault the atmosphere, food or the cocktails- however.. 2 for 1 cocktails is mighty misleading!!!

Having drank rather a lot (pre 7pm) and beyond we were only advised later that it was only a certain few that were included in the offer- so beware!

I don’t normally write reviews to complain but I feel compelled to on this occasion.

I visited today for my 40th birthday with all of my family which I feel is a pretty special occasion & I wanted to visit a restaurant that reflected this.

Here’s why it wasn’t special (or even good):-



Small point firstly -we had to ask for children’s menus.



We were never given a soft drinks menu.



I was given the wrong starter & when I let the waitress know this, she said “I’m just going to leave that there” & walked off! I then had to call the main waitress over that had been looking after us to ask her to bring the correct one. By the time it arrived, most of my family eating starters, had finished.



The food overall was a 6/10 at best.



I asked if the olives were pitted as they were for my 3 year old & I was clearly told yes they were. When they arrived, they were not and given the stones were not easy to remove-we just left them. When I pointed it out to waitress, she said she’d told me they had stones in -she did not. We still got charged for them.



I had to ask the waitress to collect the pizzas in order for them to be cooked despite several members of staff just standing round for 5 minutes beforehand.



We were made to exit the table sharply as apparently there was another booking in at 19:15. We had not been made aware of this previously.



..and finally, & perhaps least importantly but it mattered to me..at no point was the cause for my celebration made reference to by the staff at any point in the meal. I’ve often been for meals & had a simple plate with a happy birthday message on it or a gesture similar to that. I did say to the events manager when I booked the meal that it was for my 40th birthday. Normally at other restaurants they want to know if/what you’re celebrating to make your experience even more special, sadly this was not the case.



Overall I feel the service we received was substandard at best.



To make matters worse when I emailed the manager to complain, I got no response.



Very disappointing indeed.
