Wonderful food, and probably the best service from staff we’ve ever experienced in Cornwall! My daughter loved the attention and interaction from the people here, and the food was really very good indeed, we’ll be heading back asap! Thanks guys, massive thumbs up x

User

We had brunch here on Saturday and luckily got a table outside overlooking the sea. It was really busy and we did have a bit of a wait but it's not a fast food restaurant and when we got it, it was worth waiting for, freshly made and tasty. I found the staff to be really friendly and they were working like Trojans.

User

Scrumptious final breakfast in Cornwall. Enjoying the view, service and food.

Husband pleased we'd run out of our own eggs so we had an excuse for a breakfast treat

Peek-a-boo, Gylly Beach Cafe,

I enjoyed coming down to Gylly Beach Cafe the day before me Birfday on Tuesday May 16th This is during my first visit back to Falmouth since Graduation from Falmouth Uni in 2013. I spoke to Hannah and Leigh(is Leigh's name right?) and had previously spoken to Hannah back in Bristol where we both came from before Uni.

Believe me, I will come back to Gylly Beach Cafe if I go back to Falmouth Had a yummy toast, poached egg and smoked salmon. Of course le view from the cafe is WOOH, so good!

It’s alwaysso busy, that tell you a lot, the guys are so lovely in general, it’s worth the little wait on orders and the view is... incredible

User

Had a nice fish and chips there, although the fish was a little undercooked. The batter on the fish was great very tasty. Loved the chips. Very big portions be great to sell a smaller one, as myself and another ladycouldn't finish it. Cold drinks very expensive.

User

Great spot to watch the world go by and a great breakfast what more do you want

User

Great location, fantastic food and very pleasant staff.

An absolute gem of a restaurant.

Great food, great wine, great service, great atmosphere. We head here every time we come to Falmouth, which is as often as we can.

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone.

User

Always a great place to eat, drink and cuddle up outside in a blanket and watch the surf and chat until late into the evening........A must, whenever we are in the Falmouth area. Forest of Dean resident.

User

Stumbled across this place by chance, arrived at 4pm on a Tuesday and got a table outside. Enjoyed the last couple hours of the gorgeous sunshine washed down with a mice chilled glass bubbles. Service was great, v friendly. I didn't eat so unable to give review on food but great place to sit and relax and enjoy last few rays of the day

Great beach view

Good food, good spot

User

Lunch with the husband was a little bit of a let down, his meal comes out then have to wait a while for mine, and when it does fish over cooked and chips cold. However was dealt with extremely well and full refund on my meal.

User

Had breakfast this morning, brilliant location with amazing views- however, a little disappointed with breakfast- ordered poached eggs instead of scrambled in our full cornish breakfast and came out with only one egg. Also, the sausage was huge and overcompensated half the plate. Coffee was great though and staff seemed friendly.

User

Great that you cater for vegans and those with a dairy intolerance by providing soya milk but I was shocked that you charge an extra 20p on a £2 cup of tea for the privilege. Seems a bit unfair. The waitress said this was because it costs more. I'm not sure this is a good enough reason and not a great image to portray. I imagine there is no deduction for those that have black tea.

User

It's a shame because the cafe on a regular day looks like it would be a nice place to eat and grab a beer. But Sunday was completely unorganised. The doorman was the typical flexing type, doing whatever he wanted with the authority he has. We only went outside for a cigarette and then got told we were not allowed back in as it was at full capacity. Although we were there for an hour or so spending money and listening to music. There was no chance to talk about it and the cab there from Redruth was way too expensive for the short time we were there. We didn't even get to see Newton.. Half an evening and a shame:(

User

What a shame!! Phoned to book a table for 10 people on a Sunday evening to be told that they only do reservations up to 8 people- oh well we will book elsewhere. Must be loosing out on a lot of custom here

User

What a shame! We had a table for 4 booked for Saturday night 21 October. This had been booked for a number of weeks and we were so looking forward to it as part of our annual holiday to Cornwall... Unfortunately Storm Brian was well and truly underway. Never mind, we arrived at the restaurant on that stormy night, we entered and all looked really welcoming and lovely. We were met by a man called Ben, who seated us near to the door. As gusts of wind blew the menus off the tables and rattled the glasses everytime the door was opened (which was frequently), we politely asked if we could move tables. Ben suddenly became the most awkward and unsympathetic person we have ever encountered in a restaurant before. He said he didnt have any more tables free, even though there were plenty empty . He said they had been pre booked for their location within the restaurant. Fair enough, but no effort was made to think about how the restaurant could be more flexible to accommodate our wishes. He then became sarcastic and quite nasty in his tone. In short he made no effort at all to meet our needs and showed zero empathy. At this stage I, exasperated, told him his customer service skills were severely lacking, we got up to leave. He then followed me out of the restaurant shouting at me! Honestly you couldn’t make it up ! We were shocked and aghast. He had previously stated that he was in charge that night.Gylly Beach Cafe owners....this man is not good for business! We received terrible treatment and are highly disappointed..
