At 12 noon tomorrow we will be observing a minutes silence with fire and rescue services across the country in remembrance of those who lost their lives and those who were affected by the tragic Grenfell Tower Fire, one year ago.

We don't just do Fire stuff! Here's some pictures of a job we did last year where we completed Fire, Intruder, Access, CCTV, Lighting, Networking, Audio Visual and Telecommunications. The project we are involved in until 2023-25 and is designed by Piers Gough, it will provide provides 263 new homes, 108 serviced apartments and 170,000 square feet of retail and leisure facilities.

Welcome to Joe our new trainee engineer. In the past week he's been out with other engineers on maintenances of Fire Alarms, assisted with first fixes on new installations, has completed his Asbestos Awareness Course, has his Health & Safety course later this week, and is currently investigating how a wireless system works. This role includes learning how to install and maintain commercial fire detection and security alarm systems in London and the South East as well as the maintenance of emergency lighting systems and portable fire extinguishers. You will be expected to work both in a team with other Fire & Security Engineers and independently.
The job requires some flexible working due to the nature of the industry where fire alarm testing sometimes have to take place out of hours or during weekends.
Training & Benefits - We will provide H&S and industry training and within an estimated 1 year training schedule the successful candidate will be put forward for their FIA AO Level 2 Foundation in Fire Detection and Alarms - Salary review every 12 months - Estimated earnings after 2 years is £22,000+ with experienced (4-5 years) fire engineers earning £26,000+ - Mobile & tools provided - Auto enrolment pensions scheme - Overtime available - 31 days holiday / year
Skills & Qualifications A driving licence is useful, as is flexibility, a great attitude, an excellent work ethic and the ability to work at heights. An interest in electronics and electrical engineering is an advantage as you will be working on large networked systems.

Hades Fire Protection is a small but dynamic fire alarm and security company based in Faversham, Kent who are looking to employ a competent fire and electronic security installation engineer with a proven track record installing, maintaining and servicing fire alarm systems, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms in both commercial and domestic properties.
Ideally we are looking for someone who has experience in both fire and security but would consider candidates strong in one area who are willing to expand their existing knowledge.
As an NSI and BAFE accredited company the candidate will be responsible for undertaking small and large scale installations as well as various pre-planned and reactive maintenance tasks to a high standard meeting all statutory requirements.
This position is perfect for somebody who is keen to expand their skill set and progress in the industry; able to problem solve and work hard as an individual or part of a team. The successful engineer will be required to participate in the company’s on call rota.
This is a full-time role is based in Faversham but our work area covers London and the South East. Hours are primarily 8-5 but will involve some nights, weekends and early starts due to the nature of the work.
The successful candidate will be subject to full BS7858 security screening and DBS checks.
Salary: £22,000-£28,000 / year dependent on skills and experience.

PART-TIME WEEKLY FIRE ALARM TEST ENGINEER Hades Fire Protection are looking to employ an individual to work 4 hours on a Friday between 8am-12pm doing fire alarm weekly tests. Full training would be given but the ideal candidate would have some kind of fire or electrical engineering experience.
