Very interesting and the staff are very helpful & friendly. Lovely setting for a picnic. Nice to see they had picnic tables available.

The place is such a peaceful spot and English Heritage have created an excellent audioguide which really brings the place to life. £6600 it cost in 1246, only 5 years to build, a few hundred years to decay!

I love coming here on a nice day when I can spent some "quiet time" amongst the ruins.

A lovely Abbey set in beautiful surroundings in the countryside.

We enjoyed our audio tour walking around the remains of the Monistery abbey, and finding out about it all in depth.

It was our first visit here, as well hadn't heard about the place, till we saw a road sign on the way back from Cotswold Farm Park, and then looked it up online to find out about it?

It's not a very well known visitor attraction, as my parents are English Heritage members and hadn't heard of this abbey, till I told them about it on the phone.

A beautiful church across from the abbey worth a visit and a look around.

Steve the manager of the site, is a lovely man, made us a coffee, and we sat in the abbey grounds chatting to him.

Steve is full of history information on the abbey, and was so warm and welcoming to us, thank you Steve for your kindness.

I think it may need advertising better, as Winchcombe is a place I had never heard of or visited till Thursday.

A must visit place, set in a beautiful countryside village.

We will definitely come back, Steve have that coffee on?

Beautiful place, loved coming here.

Seeing the remains of an abbey I never knew existed was fascinating and really interesting, glad we came.

A great site to explore but you must have the audio guide to get the full benefit.

A tip for you all with English Heritage properties where an audio guide is provided. We always carry cheap headphones as their units have a socket at the bottom that you can plug into. This saves you having arm ache holding it to you ear all the time so you can appreciate the commentary better and take photos at the same time.

The gentleman on the desk was very friendly and helpful and a great asset to EH.
