Lately a very talented NINE YEAR OLD SUPERFAN dude has chipped in on our arty vibe and designed the latest colouring sheet now at the restaurants! We get through thousands of these sheets, giving parents much needed time to chill and enjoy the vibe also.

This is our 3rd year here and the vibe is always amazing, world class riders practicing over Thursday and Friday FREE to anyone who want stop see the very best in BMX. Followed by the ticketed competition Saturday and Sunday (Courtyard is still FREE on these days).

St Leonards, the spiritual home of Half Man! Half Burger! continues to see incredible loyalty from locals, and a huge amount of visitors throughout the South. Looking out at the sea, knowing we are going to deliver the finest fresh burgers with NO compromise, just reinforces our mission. Thanks to everyone who gives us the feedback, the ‘best burger ever’ vibes. It drives us forward every day. We have big news coming up on our restaurant... in St Leonards very soon, going to make a lot of people happy...watch this space.
Eastbourne - the slow burner, set down Grove Road December 2016. This summer saw the local Eastbourne burger fans finally make it their own, we even hosted a wedding last weekend! True dedication from the amazing staff, the incredible shakes (still outselling Coke), the Amazin’ Cajun free-range chicken and group reservations, all of which has finally put us on the map. The restaurant has had some of its busiest ever weeks and we are getting known every day, driving burger addicts to Grove Road. We have turned down lucrative offers from landlords to move the Eastbourne site to the town centre. We believe in Grove Road, the indie epicentre - vinyl record shops, craft bottle shops, bike stores, comic stores, the best coffee and cafes. Eastbourne have a gem in Grove Road - in a world of bland town centres it shines more than ever.
This summer our first ever vegan special - The Beanie Mother Frickle - has further cemented our goal to be the most inclusive burger joint anywhere. Many visitors from afar, USA, London, and all over the UK have been buzzing about our vegan menu choices, and we are proud to have built on this further this summer. From day one we were on this, not late to the vegan vibe sweeping restaurants now. The meaty cousin - The Bacon Mother Frickle - is an out-of-park smash, and yep we are really trying to make Frickles a permanent offer in the future.
Online ordering has taken off, and if you have not ordered yet, try it, we are starting to send out discount codes for all online customers - check out the Click & Collect tab on our website. Half Brother! we know you got the love for burgers and beers, and that we strive to make them better than anything out ther...e. Eastbourne Half Man! Half Burger! now at just over 18 months, and we are blown away to say it is busier every week this summer. With bookings, milkshakes / hardshakes and a full-on Amazin' Cajun free-range chicken burger (4th biggest seller), it is clear evidence that people are finally getting the Grove Road vibe. Grove Road has the best vinyl indie record shops for miles in Vinyl Frontier, the best coffee in Eastbourne, and the best bottle shop for craft beer in Bottle Grove. We think that the future of true independent exciting business lies in areas like this, we are proud of our association with it, and hope you also agree.
Hastings is 3 years old and just totally nuts now, we promise we will have news soon of expansion plans, we just have to find more room for the queues. We are almost there!!
It is also worth shouting out to the Vegan and Veggie Eastbourne crew who have now become such a leading part of Half Man! Half Burger! that over 33% of what we do in Eastbourne is Vegan/Veggie. We are so glad you guys get this aspect of what we do (Vegan Shakes Yo!!), we have had our own Vegan prep kitchen since say one in Grove Road, and you guys are helping us shape a burger restaurant from the future - inclusiveness is a core belief for us, so thank you for making us the go-to Vegan burger joint in the area.
What we do in every aspect is try to attain a better quality burger experience than anyone out there. We know we do everything we can to ensure we have the freshest food possible in Eastbourne and Hastings. We are inundated with requests from investors to take the brand forward, to grow and grow. I mean, I pride myself on my burgers, but I have to concede defeat to these. They really are next level & the chips are unreal. Amazing service & lovely setting. Go here & never eat any other burgers ever again.

Burger patties were cooked to perfection! Asking how they should be cooked is a great feature. The mixture of flavours in the burger is just too good. Deep fried pickles... what an ace idea! Then the dirty fries as I like to call them, the beef chilli cheese fries are again, perfect. It’s not often that you have the right ratio of cheese to meat to chips AND a good level of seasoning to keep it interesting. Fairly priced an worth every penny!

Yeah man, service was cool and the place looks wicked. I'd say personally, all three of us agreed the meat had not much seasoning and was pretty flavourless.

Otherwise, good burgers!
