Halfords

The store is conveniently located but wouldn't recommend using the car park on a Saturday or other busy periods, bit of a nightmare, impatient drivers and dangerous for pedestrians trying to reach store on leaving your car. However, cannot fault the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful, and the guy that got me the correct headlamp bulb welcomed me with a smile. The staff member who fitted the bulb was very efficient and even sorted the bulb whilst I used the toilet at McDonalds! Only criticism, the girl on the cash desk needs to crack a smile. Other, than that a very positive visit and would recommend to others.

Severely understaffed-the bike I ordered a week ago was said to be ready the day after, but was still not ready. The few staff were friendly enough and the bike choice was decent. However it takes ages to get a staff member, there is only 1 for the whole of the bike section!

I put my carrera vengeance in for repair and they have broken my bike. They was suppose too fix the deraler and they have made it worse. Was suppose to replace the gear cable but haven't bothered. Have then left the headset lose and brakes loose. Disgrace

The three stars is relative to other Halfords.

It has all the typical stuff, I only really come to this one when I need bulbs for the car as I work nearby.

The place has recently upgraded the paper flip look up books to electronic screens. They do take a while to respond and the paper ones were simpler. I expect it's easier to maintain and update for Halfords but as a user they're a bit pants.

Bought my bulbs and found they were on offer which halved the prices which was nice.

Your can find stuff cheaper elsewhere online but for a handy walk in shop it is fine.

The car park outside is never the best as it routes your all over the place but there you go.

Went to store. Staff said the did not have item in stock. Went on line. Found item. Called store. Gave them item code. Guess what !! They had two in stock. Went to eurocarparts instead.

can talk only about bike department for I never used car section. Very good customer service, excellent atmosphere. I reserved item online, I was called once my item was ready for collection and picked it up with helpful advise. Thank you and will be back.

A year and a half old car battery died - jump started car, went to halfords with a bank statement as proof of purchase and they replaced and fitted the battery. Was in and out in 20 minutes. Competent and friendly staff.
