Halfords

Great once I found the staff at downstairs pay desk.

i think his name was Jordan but he was very helpful with giving me information on which products are best!

took a car her for my son who has a halfords trade card as he was busy working on another car i forgot to pick the card up so called him and he gave me the number.. the girl who dealt with us was excellent and very friendly the boy who was told to fit the battery was grumpy unhelpful and refused to accept the discount card number claiming we were in some way trying to scam them so i paid the full amount £137 i will be calling the manager but if the other reviews of this joke outfit are anything to go by i wont hold my breath be warned Halfords are generally good i have never had the same problems at mansfield who are very helpful my advice drive 30 miles further it will be a lot cheaper in the long run... (to add to this i contacted customer service last week who promised this would be rectified and i would receive a call back the same day as this was very important to them.. guess what no return call i have had it with halfords they simply do not deserve the business )

The staff answered questions like pre programmed robots and didn't have any real knowledge of my needs. I needed slightly thicker oil for an old car which burns the thin oil they recommend but they just kept telling me to use the thin stuff because thats what you're supposed to use. I left with my own best guess. Disappointing.

Joke of a place, went in bought a dash cam, was asked if i wanted it fitting, so i agreed, resulted in a £100 parking fine because i went over the 40 minutes max stay. Went back to see the manager, didnt want to know, said it was all down to me to appeal it. will never set foot near the place again, managers customer care skills nil.
