I am appalled that the warranty for headlight bulbs are only 3 mouths
The manager on duty today was prepared to make a good will gesture and give me a free replacement albeit that I could not produce a receipt (I purchased a pair of bulbs approximately 5/6 month's ago)
But when he seen the price withdrew his offer and then changed his mind and insisted on a receipt
He also went on to say that it is not unusuall to have to replace car light bulbs every three months
This is an experience I shall be sharing with a lot of people

I have no option but to give one star
I would prefer to give zero star rating

Never had a bad experience at Halfords and always find the staff helpful and friendly. On this occasion I was so impressed with the lad who put a new battery into my friend's car. He was very smiley and so good at his job and explained a few things. His name is Richard I think and he served us straight away. Congratulations to all the hard-working staff there

Wanted to purchase an item from secure cabnet after being ignored for 20 mins went else where and bought it .

Awful staff
Twice in so many months ive had a terrible experience with this store. The manager has an arrogance that is incredible.
First time we tried to purchase something that i had a halfords voucher they refused the voucher, i went to the rayleigh branch and they happily accepted it.
Then i wanted a new bike carrier, I knew exactly what i wanted and spoke to the same person. he was rude and asked for pointless information, he then said that the explanation i gave didnt help, even though it was the first result on my phone search.
I walked out in disgust at the way he treated us, went to ebay and purchased what i needed from there - no hassle....
I wont ever step foot in this store again the staff are awful, and stock levels are bad.

Good selection of products. Very amateur (and rude) staff.

Bought two bikes, spend nearly £500 on one go and the staff still treat us as we were a burden, rolling their eyes as we asked (with a lot of "pleases" and "sorrys") for things like "can you fix the seat of my bike?" or "can you pump the tires before I leave?".
They did as much as hand me the tools so I could fix myself.

The staff here would know car parts if they jumped up and bit then on the backside. I purchased a stereo for my porsche cayenne and was told I could have it fitted before Christmas as soon as the bits that I had to order arrived. When the part arrived the staff refused to fit it as it was on a porsche and the cable that they sold me had to go through the bulk head. As it turns out this was a load of rubbish. I didn't need the £40 cable at all it was a simple £5 plug and straight in. Just one last point when did it become acceptable to call customers babe. Not good Basildon not good.

Terrible customer service walked around the whole store and couldn't find a single member of staff, even the tills were empty.

Staff rude and kept me waiting for a parcel for 45 mins at which point I was told the parcel (for which I had a barcode that they had scanned 45 mins previously) was not there

Great for online pickup.. Good selection of stock.
