Halfords

Good range of things, liked the bikes but had to wait to speak to staff.

Purposely wasted my time dragging me out of my way by foot carrying my faulty bike to try and get me to spend more money.

I bought a bike 13 months ago, the bike has become faulty whereby the axel has come loose from the wheel rendering the bike useless.

I called my local halfords which is 4 miles from my house and asked how long the warranty was for my bike, I was told 12 months for mechanics 24 months for frame, which is reasonable.

I explained that the bike was 1 month out of warranty for the fault and asked what my options where, I was told to bring the bike down anyway, I made it clear I had no intention of paying for halfords overpriced repair service, the man on the phone said it was fine and the manager Darren is likely to authorise a repair free of charge under a management discretion.

Today, as agreed, I walked an hour to halfords in Southampton pushing the bike along too as agreed, I explained the situation and the older gent took a look, instantly deduced that I had a custom part on my bike which likely caused a problem, the part was my 7 speed gear changer, FITTED BY HALFORDS BEFORE I BOUGHT IT!! He then refused to offer a free repair despite admitting fault, and tried to book me in for a charged repair.

I left and walked back home with my bike.

Poor customer service. Asked for help with selecting a car seat, and quite frankly the staff looked bored at the prospect and much more interested in bikes. They said somebody would be over to help us, but after 20 minutes of looking at 7 members of staff wandering about, we gave up and left.

Annual bike service, highly recommend to anyone with school age children who ride daily.

I popped down to Halfords this lunchtime without an appointment and received oustanding customer service from the guy outside in the tent!! He helped me with Redex and Coollant. I did not get his name but would highly recommend these guys if you need anything like a bulb fitted or a top up!!

Horrendously under staffed with and enormous wait at the till for someone to turn up. The till then had to be restarted to serve.

The store is large and stocks almost everything, just don't expect to be able to buy anything.

Large store, good parking outside. Order online and collect at store.

Fair Halfords, pretty standard. A bit hard to find particular items but staff are as helpful as they can be.

Bought a DAB car stereo from here, after repeated visits they never got it working properly, it's now out of guarantee and doesn't really work at all. One time I said it's still not working they said they couldn't look at it for two months as a member of staff was absent.
If you want a stereo that works or value for money or decent customer service then best avoid Halfords I'd say.
