Usually a tidy store, prices have gone up a lot in recent years and there are cheaper places a short drive away.

I found the staff in store to be particularly helpful when I had a slow puncture. They pointed me in the right direction and I got home absolutely fine thanks to their advice.

I have read some of the other reviews and cannot quite agree with all of them. We went there to look for a bike and the guy was helpful an explained things to us nicely. I found it strange that I could not necessarily take the bike with me straight away but as they typically assemble it I guess it depends on how much time they have to do this. When queried if I could take it and assemble it myself they were fine with that and that would have been possible.

All in all I would say the experience was ok, nothing spectacular but ok. The shop could though do with a few more people and perhaps some better customer service overall.

I have a very low standard for what I expect from Halfords but even still this place falls very short, the staff are not interested in helping and usually don't have the knowledge to help even if they wanted to. When asking to order something from the parts store I was told it wasn't on their system, I showed it to the lady on my phone and she said order it yourself then, I asked if she could order it on her system just to be sure and she said she couldn't and it wasn't on the website and refused to accept it could be her mistake. Next time I visited to buy something there was one person serving and a queue of around 10 customers, I asked upstairs if I could pay for the mudguards there as the person behind the desk wasn't doing anything and was told they couldn't do it as there computer was on a different screen, I walked out and didn't purchase what I went in for.

They advertise that they mix car paints on site but staff definitely do not want to do this and come up with excuses as to with they cannot mix your paint.
First it was that the paint code does not exist - when shown manufacturers website with code told they hold it under a different code - everyone knows paint codes are standard otherwise confusion would rule.
The next excuse was that they had no white paint to mix - really - whites pretty standard.
Then it was the could old favourite try another store - i.e bugger off
Very grumpy and moody service throughout the whole saga
Ordered the paint and everything else on line from another supplier.

Friday 24/02/2016 tried to phone but no answer on four occasions at 12.30pm drove to the store and had two number plates made up the person who served me never gave me eye contact all the time I was there and was to concerned chatting with his mate I asked if the stickers they sold was any good and he told me they never fail and the number would never fall of, The chappie who fitted them was very good and I drove away very confident the next morning when I started the car the front number plate was on the driveway. never use this store again when I phoned the other stores they answer the phone straight away.

Spent 25 quid on a set of bike lights and non of them work and the pesta valve adaptor failed and started leaking within a few pumps

This company is a complete joke, I bought a bike it broke with in three months . The mech broke and slammed in to the wheel it buckled the wheel broke two spoke which damage the brakes which cause my son to fall of his bike. I took it to store and the bike mechanic said it was not a warranty issue due to the fact it had marks on the mech and the mechanic said this had all happened before the accident, Even though the accident caused the damage.
So in short the mechanics have secret powers who can see in to the past and the customer service help cover it up to avoid fixing the bike under warranty

Staff helpful and friendly. Same as all the other halfords
