Halfords Autocentre

First time I have used Halfords Autocentre for my car's annual service and MOT. I was very impressed by the friendly, efficient and speedy service I received from the staff. Particularly impressed by the way I was kept up to date with progress/issues throughout the morning.

Took my car in for mot end of July, they told me a lot needed done to it...costing £670 ! (The car is only 4 years old) I trusted them and paid to get work done. Last week the car started to make a clunking noise so took it to another garage. Ended up needing a new exhaust as the bracket corroded and the exhaust was hanging off also new brake pads as they were severely corroded and car was deemed unroadworthy ! So had to pay £500 to sort out things halfords had missed ! Don't take your car here....they'll over charge you for things not needed and miss serious that need doing ! Untrustworthy !!!!

Dealt with by all staff in a friendly couteous manner. Who answered all my queries. Car was booked in for 8.30 brake check, this was completed in a speedy competent manner. It was the 1st time I had used Halfords Autocentre but will be using it again and recommending it to friends

I take my car last week they have changed wrong part of the car and cost me £130

Took my car here last week for a service and MOT. These mavericks told me that in order to pass the MOT I needed around £350.00 worth of work. For this privilege I was charged £100.00. I subsequently took my car elsewhere and my car (without having any work done) passed its MOT for £35.00 without any additional work. This lot are clowns and they were furthermore quite rude to me when I told them I was taking my car elsewhere. Don't make the mistake I made. There are plenty of good garages in Hull. I will never do business with a Halfords Auto-centre again.
