Terrible they failed my Mot
Then I agreed to the work and they couldn't get a bolt off my spring and knocked my tracking off
I then went to another garage and they said there's nothing wrong with my spring

All in all my experience cost me an arm and a leg and still got no where

I needed a new battery for my car. It was an unexpected fault that caused a massive inconvenience. Halfords Autocentre fitted me in on a busy day and sorted my car our there and then. I was so thankful for the quick and professional service I received. Will definitely be going back. Many thanks to the team

Staff were initially very friendly and helpful and did try to save me money on repairs when my car failed its MOT. However once I had made the decision that it wasn't worth repairing and my car would have to be scrapped, I was misinformed and told that I was no longer allowed to drive my car due to it having failed its MOT, even though it still have 2 weeks until it was due. Once I realised that this was wrong, I went to pick my car up and was very blunty given my keys and walked away from. Very disappointed and I am very unlikely to use this service again.

It was ok. Took ages tho hence the 3 star. 2.5 hrs to check some brake pads?? Communication needs to be better

Excellent service from Halfords again. Fit me in quickly for an MOT and repair, gave great advice and had car ready within a few hours. Definitely recommend them.

Terrible the staff are the most obnoxious bunch of individuals I have ever encountered my 85 year old mother knows more about cars than this lot combined and as for rude they have zero manners and even less when it comes to people skills RUDE RUDE RUDE ..

The car went in for a cheap MOT. Should have known better.

They failed it on a problem that didn't exist before it was taken in, so drove away a car in a worse condition than when I took it to them. Evidently they wanted to do the repairs (at a much higher price than local independant garages) and then get paid for the MOT and the repairs too.

When asked why the car was in a worse condition, their answer was that the MOT process involves "inspecting the car, so that might have dislodged something". They wouldn't admit to "inspecting" it with excessive force though...

They also said that the tyres needed replacing (although no advisory last year...) and quoted high premium prices for the worst, budget tyres available (wet grip F).

Took it to an independent garage to verify their MOT findings and get any repairs done at a much lower price. The MOT conducted elsewhere was evidently more thorough as it found a few other small problems which were fixed for free by my usual garage. Whilst they agree that the broken component in question needed replacing (corrosion) they weren't sure why it had been handled in such a way that had caused it to fail.

Felt like they where adding extra work that I didn't really need just boost extra sales.
