Halfords - Chiswick Store

I was served by TK who went the extra mile when identifying the issue with my bike and then getting me back on the road in record time. I really enjoyed the whole interaction as it was friendly and personal. I'll be going back to the Chiswick store for my next bike.

Stood many a time at the front counter waiting for staff to even acknowledge I was there. They did swap a faulty item without quibble but service is very lacklustre

Just went to get a new battery for our car and were served by the two most helpful people imaginable. Turns out our car has a battery that isn't available through Halfords, but the people who served us did all they could to try to find a solution and did a test to check that it really was the battery that was the problem. Thanks

Halfords have always provided the item I needed but the store is well under staffed and it takes a long time to get served

Terrible customer service. Staff ignores the customer, and it takes a lot of effort to be served. When we finally managed to get someone's attention, the advice was very poor, and we had to do the research ourselves. Ended up choosing a bike and it was meant to be ready on a specific date and time, we went a day later and it still was not ready. All in all, very poor service.

The staff here will do anything they can to ignore you. I finally asked someone for help at the till because there was only one person in the bike area. I got a shrug and told 'and he'll still be there so go and wait'. I decided to just buy what I had and was served by another member of staff who was equally rude and didn't say anything to me or even look at me. I ended up feeling really depressed about the whole experience.

Left knowing I would avoid all Halfords at any cost. Went up the road to Evans where they were very helpful.

This is my local store. There seems to be a lack of consistency with the level of customer service given by staff here. Maybe there's a high turnover of staff. Anyway, I and family members have had brilliant experiences, particularly with the bike mechanics, but equally had one terrible one too. On the motoring side, again it is very hit and miss. I have had good experiences with click and collect, and have found some real bargains. Most recently I bought four butane gas cans for camping for only £5. I always feel this branch is a cycle specialist, which does other products on the side. Personally if I need motor related items I go to the Twickenham branch; for cycling I go to Chiswick.

It's a nice airy relaxed branch where you can take your time to browse, try out some of the bikes or just come in to buy an accessory. I remember buying my daughters mountain bike from here. We actually wheeled it back ( as well as riding discreetly where appropriate )all the way to White City. If you purchased at a weekend you'd probably be able to bring it back on one of the overhead rail services. Please check first though. Of course fold ups are permissible on most public transport. Staff in Halfords usually very knowledgeable and most of them ride themselves as well as drive.

Worst service ever. Staff very ignorant, wish I could leave 0 stars. Enough said.

Helpful and friendly. Didn't do that twitchy, trying-to-get-you-out-because-it's-near closing-time thing.
Let me try the parts I needed with no obligation to buy. Meant I got home in my van rather than needing to call breakdown service.
