Halfords - Hove Store

Wasted an entire weekend waiting for a bike that should have been ready on Friday, then Saturday and then after lunch Sunday and now it will definitely be ready Tuesday. Forget it, Halfords, I'm off to an independent bike store where they understand customer service. I recommend others to do the same.

Took my bike in for service. Very poor service and customer service. After two weeks they still hadn't done anything and then failed to ring me when they had even after I'd rang them and said they'd ring me me either later that day or the following day. Now after a couple of uses, the front break doesn't work very well and the back break keeps locking up. It was a total was of money.

We had 3 bikes to service and my sons bike was too small for him and I was correctly advised that it should be changed as I would of wasted money on it.
Sam was so knowledgeable and we chose a new bike, delivered and put together the next day (Sunday) also the other 2 bikes where serviced quickly so we picked up all bikes the next day.
Extremely happy with the service.

I took my bike to have it serviced under their supposedly named 'gold service'. They took TWO WEEKS to have it serviced and when I picked it up it wasn't assembled correctly. The gears were not aligned and they did not fix the puncture properly, so the tyre was flat again after my first ride. Because the gears were not properly assembled, a piece broke which meant they had to order a replacement. I have been waiting for this to be fixed for a further 3 weeks and I'm still to have my bike back!! The staff is incompetent and when you call they take ages to answer. Absolutely abysmal. Don't go there!

I had two experiences in here.

When I got my bike serviced, they were so friendly and helpful, knew a lot about repairing it and helped me in no time at all.

The second time I believe that I may have discovered the secret to invisibility and was able to roam around by the checkout in an empty store (bar the two employees behind said checkout).

I was by the checkout for what seemed like 5 whole minutes whilst they discussed their drinking sessions the night before.

It was terrible to say that least (I just left and got my stuff from elsewhere).

Its a gamble this place...

Great customer service. Got my bike serviced and repaired for a good price. Bike technician did a great job. Very helpful and informative. Only downside was they couldn't get a bolt I needed. 😒 apart from 1 worker. Who was misrable and rude. The ugly 1....

I would strongly advice people to steer clear of this Halfords. It is very understaffed, and the staff that do work there are incompetent.

Quiet with nice staff but expensive and generally empty
