Halfords - Kingston Upon Thames Store

Good shop, with helpful staff (most of the time). Once I got a new bike after about 3months it kept having problems, wouldn’t help without paying large amounts of money. Ended changing back to Evans

Terrible service. Took my bike for repair for the 2nd time for the same problem. Halfords have now had my bike for over two weeks in total.

It's a new Boardman bike brought from them. I'm full of regrest and disappointed that I purchased it from Halfords.

Staff shortage leading to disappointment. I bought a bike on line last month and had to go on two consequitive days because they were fully booked. My partner bought one last week and they called with some excuse about not having slots to get it together and has to wait .
I read more reviews saying similar things. Obviously this shop is very poorly management, recruit more people to seek demand and don't annoy your customers and stress your staff. In the future I will avoid this particular shop and as a result probably Halfords all together...

They can fix basic bike issues very quickly and on budget! The staff know a lot and are always there to help. On weekends the queue can be long but usually they can sort out things promptly.

Had really great service today from Halfords in Kingston. They were really helpful and gave us good advice. Would highly recommend.

About ten days ago I walked in to Halfords (Kingston Branch) I have experiencing problems with my bike ever since I bought it (4-5 months ago). Even though I have servicing it every month, there would be always something wrong (brakes, saddle) This time it was the chain and the pedals which made the most horrendous noise, so bad that I could be heard cycling from a mile.
When I walked in to the Kingston branch, I was quickly greeted by Samuel. He notice my upset and took everything with his heart and soul:))) He quickly inspected my bike and suggested a few reasons with what could be wrong. We agreed to leave my bike overnight for him to work on it. The next day when I went to pick it up, Samuel personally came to explain all of the repairs he has done. I left the shop very happy with the service I received, but I must say I am beyond happy ever since. My bike runs so smoothly now, and there is no more noise:))))), I dont think it was that good as it was when I bought it. Thank you Samuel, you are now officially the mechanic in charge of my Boardman .

Excellent service from one of the staff today who recommended I bought an extension to my bike lock - so more security but still just one key. If he hadn't suggested it, I might well have bought a separate lock which wouldn't have been so convenient. Thanks A*
