We are looking to recruit new team members ready for the fast approaching holiday season. Full and part time hours available for bar shifts, restaurant shifts and also a weekend cleaner. Seasonal and permanent positions available. Must be over 18 and have some experience in the hospitality industry. Shifts will include evenings and weekends. Unfortunately all of our staff are unable to get here today so we are going to be closed for the rest of the day. However if anyone who is currently stuck in the valley wants to walk over to use the toilets or grab a hot drink Adam and I are here with the kettle on!☕️☕️

We are currently out delivering coffee to some of the drivers stuck in the valley. Recovery truck now on site so hopefully won’t be too much longer. 🤞🤞

It’s pretty bad in the valley at the moment so we’ve taken the decision to close for the rest of the day. Stay safe everyone!!

excellent food and 5 star service will will keep going back there proper cooked food not the some other places thanks mr/mrs wiseman of glynn view guest house .

Went for lunch with friends to this little hide out and i realky loved it. Menu is good and offers small or large portions which is great. Atmosphere is relaxed and laid back i shall be back now a fair bit.

We were on holiday and decided to have a meal here after the staff were so welcoming when we called in just a drink. We had steaks and they were just as we had asked for them , very nice meal, generous portions, very friendly obliging staff. Would visit again.

We visited halfway house today with two crazy boys under 5 and a dog (theo the cocker spaniel) loved that we were able to sit inside with our dog. The staff were immediatly welcoming and brought our dog a bowl of water. My husband ordered the fish and chips which looked and tasted amazing. I ordered the pie with mash again was delicious and the portion size was huge. The boys meals were a good size too. We will be visiting again hooefully before we leave. Thank you halfway house.

We love coming here when we visit Cornwall, we visit twice a year and always eat there just after unpacking and in need of food. The Halfway House has a lovely atmosphere, with the choice of eating in or out if weather permits, the food is fabulous, plus the staff are lovely and friendly, we love coming here and will continue to visit the Halfway House when we visit in September/October of this year and years ahead

We are so glad we choose this lovely pub to have a family get together last night. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. No issues with the road closures and we will be back. Many thanks for a lovely relaxed evening

Nice little pub which serves great food at a reasonable price. Decent size portions as well with the added bonus of a choice of small or regular size. Restaurant was well laid out with adequate space between tables.



It is bigger than it looks from the ouside and has occupies a lovely scenic vista

Lovely place... very friendly. We had two crazy kids singing old macdonald at the top of their voice and two big huskies and still felt so so welcomed by all the staff. Not to mention...Food was absolutely delicious too!! Xx

The pub on the road close to trago mills good parking friendly helpful staff no nonsense plenty of choice menu quiet relaxing resturant area good food and a good easy to talk atmosphere while you enjoy your travelling break in an easy relaxed style

This has always been my favourite place to eat it unfortunately our visit on Saturday was not the best. After we had our starters the waitress took a long time to return (about 30 mins) then we had our mains my partners chicken was very dry. I had the pie of the day which was lovely as usual, I had it with mash potatoes that was not very well mashed probably the worst I have ever seen. We would of given feedback to the waitress but we never seen her for the rest of our stay (my partner even had a pint after he had finished eating) we left with our dirty dishes still on the table, I would be more forgiving if it was busy at the time but it wasn't we where the only customers in at the time (4pm) I really hope this was a off day. �

Popped in for a coffee. Out for spin in the MG. Plenty parking and seating outside. Not tried the food. Menu looked ok. Nothing special.

Probably the worst curry I have ever eaten (or in fact left) no sauce, warm not hot, far too much rice and pieces of meat (chicken?) like industrial rocks awaiting the ore crushers. Doubt I will be back again.

We have been here a few times as a relative lives nearby and the food is always disappointing and below standard. My chicken was so dry and hard I could knock on my plate with it. BBQ sauce is horrible, bacon fatty, veg from the roast completely undercooked and corners cut. Curry is always just watery rice and flavourless mush. Dirty plates not cleared, not asked how things are and will not be returning.
