We would like to thank all at hallgarth for holding our wedding Sunday gone.. Thanks so much for going that extra mile for us with our requests and making our day a success and a one to remember.. The gardens and views at this venue are to die for and nothing seems to much trouble for the staff.. Special thanks needs to go to our toastmaster Diane and also a thanks is needed for all staff on the day especially little Andrew and Jackie yous were fantastic..

We love this Hotel.. Its a little bit of Heaven on our Door Step.. 25 minutes away from our Home.. We are welcomed back every time with a warm smile and the treatment and care we receive from the staff is always amazing.. The Choice and Quality of the Food is Excellent.. The Rooms are immaculate and Beautiful as are the grounds.. The Stables Pub on site is quaint and enjoyable and The Spa is relaxing.. There is also a Golf Course available and a Perfect Venue for a Wedding or another event.

We have just returned from a weekend here for my cousins hen party. What a weekend we had and I can’t thank all the staff enough for their hospitality. Thank you to Tracey for helping me to organise everything along with Lyndsey who answered all my queries to make sure we had everything we needed before we arrived. Once we arrived, check in with Bev was smooth with no problems. The spa staff were very lovely and the waiting staff (Josh, Fraser, Hannah & Kieron) were superb. Nothing was too much trouble and were happy to assist with everything we asked for. Our room was beautiful and we had a wonderful weekend. Food was extremely delicious and good value for money. Could you please pass on our thanks to your wonderful team.

We had an overnight stay with prosecco and chocolates, 3 course meal, 55min spa treatment, breakfast and a four poster bed, this was a special treat from our daughter and partner. All the staff in all areas of the hotel and spa are very friendly, approachable and helpful, they really do want you to enjoy your stay so they go that extra mile. The room was lovely, very comfortable, very clean and everything worked. The meals are absolutely gorgeous, a excellent variety of dishes to choose from and plenty of food to satisfy anyone's appetite. The spa treatment was amazing, we were so relaxed afterwards, this is a must for anyone. We were really looked after and made welcome and really enjoyed our stay. We hope to return again in the not to distant future for another relaxing overnight stay.

We are here for a wedding arrived Friday for the wedding today. And up to now I do have to say staff great, room is lovely, golf course is well kept. Home tomorrow. So I will put another review on then.

I arranged a spa day with afternoon tea for my mams 60th birthday as a surprise & from my initial phone call to Angela (she was fab) to arrange to actually turn up on the day was excellent. The massage was gorgeous, all staff were friendly & couldn’t do enough for us & the afternoon tea was delicious!! Thank you! I would highly recommend anyone looking for a special treat to book here!

Myself and my husband got married here on Friday 3rd August. We had such a fantastic day and I could not thank Diane enough for everything from the planning the night before to the end of the wedding day. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and how I wanted it. Even when it come to getting married in the secret garden and it began spitting with rain, she could see how much I wanted it and even asked the guests if they would hold umbrellas provided by the hotel it was fab!! I couldn't recommend her enough. Also the staff during the day helping to make it perfect were very attentive and followed our requests. Me and my husband got married here last June I stayed the night before with my bridal party, the morning of the wedding the staff could not of done enough for me especially the toast master Diane she looked after me from waking up until everyone went to bed she made the day run perfectly

Smooth and kept me calm before going to the church the venue is perfect and I couldn’t recommend a more beautiful venue than the hall Garth topped off with its amazing staff x

Just returned home after a two day spa break and have to say we thought it was amazing. The grounds are beautiful, our room was spotlessly clean, the food was delicious and the staff were all very friendly. We had a wonderful few days and will definitely return.

Just over two weeks ago we had our wedding here..what a beautiful and amazing place it is! The staff couldn't be more helpful and polite especially Diane! She was there throughout the whole day (bless her..what a long day!) And was more than happy to help with any requests we may have at all. She (and the whole staff) kept me at ease, and made me feel confident that our day would be perfect...even though we were meant to married outside and it rained (unreliable English weather as usual haha) but honestly we wouldn't change a thing! I paid for a night away with my fiancé in this gorgeous country style hotel, this is literally our favourite hotel by far and can’t wait to get married here next September, we enjoyed a few drinks on the terrace looking over the stunning acres, our room was lovely with a newly fitted bathroom, and the staff were very friendly and willing, we also enjoyed what I would call the 5* breakfast beautifully locally sourced produce! Delicious!! Then also received a relaxing massage in the spa, the ladies were lovely and made me and my partner feel so comfortable. People have different views on this 3* hotel and can be very negative about it, but somehow I can’t find one negative at all! Would highly recommend.

Hallgarth hosted our daughter and new son in laws wedding on Saturday and we would like to thank them so much for everything. Every member of staff went out of their way to make things perfect nothing was too much trouble and Diane was outstanding in running the day. The whole place was amazing from beginning to end. Food was delicious and the service top notch. Well done everyone involved and thank you once again.

Had a fantastic spa day with overnight stay on Saturday with 17 of my friends & family to celebrate my birthday. Emma & Kelly the event organisers were very helpful and replied to my (many) e-mails quickly......we had lovely treatments from the therapists and were well looked after by the staff in the spa. Our 3 course meal was outstanding and the waiters/waitresses were great. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome and well looked after.

Lovely spa day & night with my girl friends... pool, sauna and treatment was lovely.. a bit dated now with all the other Hotel around but still enjoyed it and very clean.... lunch in the Spa was gorgeous and great value for money ... staff couldn’t do enough for you .. evening meal was very good and beautifully presented .. room was spotlessly clean.. warm and comfortable.. everything you need ... if there was one downside it would have to be the barmaid in the ‘stables’ bar.. we went in after our meal for a night cap.. she was not very welcoming and we got the feeling she wanted us to leave so she could lock up and go... we were told it was open until 11.30pm but we were asked to leave at 11.10pm as she needed to lock up!

Though the afternoon tea put a downer on our day. Coke was spilt all over our table by a member of staff who then cleaned the mess up with the mucky table cloth that was spilt on with coke. Part of the sandwiches were missing fillings and hair was found in the cakes. Although these issues were sorted it took time to sort. No check backs were done nor were staff around when we wanted the bill, we had to go over to them our self's even tho we were the only party in the restaurant at the time. We felt like we were forgotten about even tho we were paying as much as any other customer before us. For a high end establishment you wouldn't think these issues would occur in the 1st place, it put a downer on what was a lovely day in the spa & treatment area.

I have just getting home from staying at hallgarth for my 30th birthday with my mam,sister in law and daughter 6years old. We checked in at 2pm and the room was outstanding so cosy we stayed in room 56 great family room. Double bed in one room and two single in the other with a bathroom. Very nice warm and cosy. Few cobwebs around and sum dust. I am picky with due to been a cleaner my self.



We went to the spa and had a lovely relax .. staff lovely so helpful ordered us wine and juice. Lovely clean warm and relaxing.



Before afternoon tea we had a drink in the bar we ordered a bottle of wine and a fruit juice to be told to take a seat as no wine in the fridge to wait a while we got our wine in the end.



4.30pm we went for afternoon tea in restaurant when we walked in no1 was around so we just sat down. It smelt of fish really strong smell of it which was putting me off eatten. A man came into the room and we said we booked in for afternoon tea for him to say cream tea? But all was ok he served us out afternoon tea. I had a few of these and for the price they weren't nothing great would give them a 5 out of 10. Very slow service. Scones lovely warm fresh. Child had a plain ham sandwich with crisps lovely just too much butter for a child wen no butter on adults �.

The man was nice just slow service he brought out my birthday cake my mam had put to one side as a surprise.



After we went back to the stables (only bar) really busy due to wedding and only one member of staff. We ordered a bottle of wine to be told to take a seat again and to wait 20min for the bottle of wine due to only one member of staff and no wine again � it the only bar we were told etc no wine haha. When the young girl brought the wine we asked for the tv on and we waited another 15min. As she was on her own at a busy time. We were sat on the brown sofas as u walk in. Another young girl walked in and we asked her she brought the remove to the tv not working.



There was just no music or atmosphere in the stable bar. There was glasses left all over off the wedding guess.



We left at 8ish to walk over the other end for the lounge to be dirty glasses all over and the fire broke. We asked to order some chips to take to our room the man said we would have to charge us room service with is £5 a tray. We ordered the chip they were quick but the expensive chip haha as we were in the restaurant we could of just waited and took them our self but we weren't allowed.



I would give the spa 5 stars.

Having had a family membership at the Hallgarth Hotel leisure club for over 4 years. My family and I have just been turned away from the leisure club. As a family we still had a window of 20 minutes to use the facilities but Paul and the hotel manager ensured that by the time they had dealt with our complaint that we had no time to have a swim. Our two boys were bitterly disappointed. We are now carefully considering our options on if we remain member or we change to an alternative gym/leisure club. All because of a staff member not giving us a little guidance on children’s pool times and allowing us a ‘one off’.
