Mini Showcase held at Butterfly Fitness (for 2019/20 Hallam Union Pole members only) before the Xmas break for current members to have something to work towards and Inspire New Members for the Big One at the end of the Year.
I'm pretty premature organising this but I'm so excited following the success of Sunday that I just wanted to put feelers out there.
The event will depend on the amount of people interested but will likely be routines of 2 mins, to a song of your choice, ...Xmas theme or not, sexy or contemporary, strength or flow work, just an in house affair due to capacity at the studio so may need to limit performances (again depends on interest) but should be a fun thing for you lovely lot to focus on and get started when we return from the summer 😊
I'll plan some training sessions at the Hubs, there'll be privates available from me, Sasha Louise and Eve Anderson all being well and there'll probably be a small entry fee to go towards studio hire but mostly to support a chosen charity and get the ball rolling and charities tin filling up 😊

Aimie is such a good friend of mine, and a gorgeous lady who’s had a lot of experience with one of our chosen charities Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Anyway, the absolute nutter is now doing a skydive in order to raise money for them!

Hi guys, with a day to go to put your manifestos in for the AGM in a weeks time, I thought I would just do a little post about my very important role as Events and Comps Rep.
You'll have 1 job, but it's big. That is to organise and facilitate the biggest event of the society calendar, the Showcase and/or Varsity.
Its a big role but so rewarding, ideally you need either experience in performing or events planning. It takes a lot of time and commitment, enthusiasm and encourag...ement. You will be required to organise and attend training session, support competitors throughout, and host and run the event at the venue. (please note it does mean you can't compete at Varsity but can certainly perform in the Showcase)
Next year there is chance that Varsity will run with against Uni of Sheffield, as well as an end of year Showcase.
Where I am happy to run for his position again, I will be on placement in Leeds therefore will need an assistant, or at the least a lot of help from the committee, if not a replacement. So please put yourself forward if you are interested.
It is very important to make sure the correct committee are voted for. If you are interested in any of the roles, please send your names to Gee by the end of the day tomorrow (Sunday) with manifesto.
You can put yourself forward for more than one position if you feel there are different positions you could offer your skills, and just because someone has already put themselves forward, as I have here, doesn't mean that you can't as well. That's the whole point of the AGM and the voting system.
Anyone who is a member that doesn't want to run for committee, but feels it is important for them to help decide who is, make sure you come along to the AGM and make your vote.

you know its gonna one hell of a night out when not two but three societies / sports teams come together to have a night out. and that's exactly whats gonna happen when Pole, Ice Hockey and Lacrosse join forces on Wednesday 13th March.
The theme for the night is come dressed as something starting with the first letter of your name. for example; if your name starts with an A then you could come as an avocado or astronaut. you can go as creative or simple with your costumes as possible.
