****UPDATE CYRUS IS HOME****
Cyrus is missing from wadsley lane, S6. please look out for him and check garages/sheds if you live in the area. He is microchipped and is usually a house cat so is likely to be hiding somewhere.

User

💕Lovely Katie came for an ID chip today and was a superstar! 🌟 ID chips are just £10, compulsory for dogs and we recommend all cats have them too! You can book in with our nurses Monday-Friday for ID chips.

💙UPDATE- ALFRED IS HOME!!!💙 Please look out for Alfred in the Bole Hills area of Crookes, he was last spotted there but could now have wandered further. He isn’t wearing a collar but he is microchipped.

😍What a difference 2 years of TLC makes!💕💕💕 this little girl was living stray, scared and pregnant in one of our nurses gardens. She was only a baby herself!😢 luckily she was taken home by our lovely client Cath who has worked wonders as you can see❤️

Despite the look on Gabe's face 😾 I think he was quite chuffed with his new haircut 🤔 Gabe had been having trouble keeping his beautiful coat clean and mat free, so he was booked in with us for a 'Lion cut' 🦁 He was such a good boy and we think he looks as handsome as ever 💙

*** MISSING***
He's a silver/tan and black stripy tabby with quite distinctive stripes and he has quite a slim build. He's a year old and smaller than your average cat.
He went missing in Bradfield, but we have recently moved from Walkley so it's possible he's tried to make his way back to the old house.
... He's microchipped.

We lost our beloved dog Millie suddenly in September. The vet and staff in the surgery could not help us enough and even though they were busy we were not rushed out of the consultation room. We received a condolence card from the surgery a couple of days later which was a very thoughtful touch. We have used Hallam for a number of years for our previous pets and we now have a new puppy and a kitten who we are more than happy to take there.

User

We have received excellent service for our two cats who have unfortunately needed lots of attention during their short lives!

They have cared for one cat through a potentially life threatening bladder blockage which has happened twice, and the other after she as hit by a car and had a bad head injury. She was not expected to last through the night at the emergency vets but made a good recovery in the care of Hallam vets and now functions almost as she was before.

The team are very caring and helpful and clearly are very fond of the animals they are working with. Thank you.

User

Was sent here by my vets and i recommend to anyone thank you today for what you have done for Millie today

User

Very professional and friendly. A vet that takes your pet's health seriously and understands the 'owner' too.

User

Truly amazing team here!

User

Took my nervous GSD there for the first time today. Extremely accommodating staff, gave me lots of options, lovely with the dog. Many thanks. X

User

Thank you to all the staff over the years for the outstanding care of our little Willow who we are all devastated to have lost today. Thanks especially to Lee Roberts who has treated her to the very end with kindness, professionalism and care. Second to none. Thank you again xxx

User

Thank you to all the staff at Hallam Veterinary Centre for the thoughtful condolence card I received after losing my beloved cat Chloe at 15 years old.

I had been bringing Chloe to the centre for boosters and check ups every year since 2003. I was always greeted with a smile and received a professional and friendly service every time.

Chloe needed cardiac investigations and treatment this year, and once again the care they gave her was brilliant. Can't recommend Hallam Veterinary Centre enough.

User

Thank you so much for taking such good care of our cat Suki at the end of her life and for your kindness towards me and my husband. It was so lovely to arrive home to a sympathy card from you, thank you.

User

Our puppy Myla had a grade 5/6 murmur, we were advised to return to the breeder Thankfully Phil gave her a chance of having heart surgery, Lee did the operation, the murmur has now gone. The staff are absolutely amazing, so caring, friendly, there’s just not enough praise. Thank you all so very much. Myla is now a healthy cavapoo thanks to you

Our dog Beau who is only 3 years old has recently had a life threatening episode but it was picked up very quickly by the Hallam staff who acted on it immediately.

We thought she had a simple urine infection after being unwell one afternoon. The next day she perked up but took her for a check up just to be on the safe side.

After an examination a blood test was taken as Billy, the vet, was obviously concerned about her presenting symptoms and told me he would call me with the results later that evening. It was bad news - she had 0 platelets and could bleed out at any moment. She had to be rushed to the out of hours service for a potential blood transfusion and we needed a donor dog. Billy did his best for us and a Hallam nurse, Beki, came to the rescue.

The vet at the out of hours service prepared us for the worst. She suspected an undiagnosed auto immune disorder was the culprit which could also cause problems with the transfusion. Beau was put on steroids and various other medication but due to unforeseen circumstances could not have the transfusion at that time. She pulled through the night and was transferred back to Hallam the next day where Lee took over her case. He put her on strict bed rest and a large amount of steroids and she remained stable.

We thought we were making progress then she became anaemic and again needed a blood transfusion. Again Beki came to the rescue and the transfusion was successful.

Beau perked up that much after the transfusion that unfortunately she started to become a little stir crazy in her kennel and we were asked, for her own safety, if we could bring her home and ensure strict rest. We have and she has slowly been improving since.

Her blood test this morning shows her platelets are on the up but we still have a long way to go before she's back to full health.

I can't even begin to thank the staff at Hallam enough for everything they have done. Beau was an unusual case but they're expertise got her through. She even still gets excited when she goes now she knows most of the staff there!

I sadly had to have my dog buster put down 😢 The staff were lovely and kind. They sent us a handwritten card a few days later it was heart warming. Thank you to all the staff 😁

User

I just wanted to thank the amazing staff at Hallam veterinary centre, especially Phil Tricklebank. My little cat Devil unfortunately had to be put to sleep today but Phil had seen her through her unfortunate journey and made sure he could be with her at the end (despite me coming in last minute). I cannot thank him enough, and the team who made this incredibly hard time slightly more bearable. It was comforting to know her last few minutes were spent in great hands. Thank you all, and RIP little devil cat. Xxx

I have used Hallam Vets for years - all my many pets have been under their care. Dogs, cat, rabbits, guinea pigs and rats. From their early life, to the end of their life, they received nothing but the most professional care. You are never pushed to have unnecessary treatment, and animal care seems to come well before profit. I have never been made to feel like I am wasting their time (several visits made over the years when I wasn't certain a vet was needed), and once they even stayed open to wait for me while I rushed my dog to them after calling them literally just before they closed.

The care package for regular health checks, worming, fleas etc is extremely useful, and even the (not so simple) task of giving my cat his wormer is something their vet nurses are happy to help with. Takes them seconds... and saves me days of trying to dose my little minx!

It's never difficult to get an appointment - quite often you can be seen on the day you call. Or the next day, at the latest (if a quick appointment needed).

My dogs are noisy when they visit (very noisy), and test out the floor mop every time, due to their anxiety - and the cat has examined the space behind the fridge in the consulting room... and never once has anyone shown any irritation at this.

All the staff are welcoming and friendly.

Highly recommend this practice.

I have nothing but praise for all of the wonderful staff here. My daughters much loved hamster was treated here. The staff couldn't do enough for him, and were so caring and compassionate when he was unfortunately put to sleep today. I love that even the smallest animals matter to them too. The practice was clean and well looked after. I wouldn't hesitate to use this vets again and would recommend to anyone. Thank you to all the staff. You're superb xx

User

Highly recommended. They looked after my gorgeous cat Scamper many times over the years and tried everything to keep her healthy and happy even when the end was in sight. They were also very patient and understanding with me when I was a sobbing wreck at the end! They are incredibly caring and compassionate.

User

Brought in a wounded fox found in a snare. The staff were all wonderful, so compassionate and understanding. If I lived in this area they would be my regular vets for my dog. Thank you all so much for your help on that day. PS we'll get the carrier back to you asap.

User

All the staff are excellent, they showed such care and compassion throughout our dogs illness, not only to the dogs but to our whole family present at the time when we finally watched him pass over rainbow bridge. Wouldn’t want you to go anywhere else! 💙🐾
