I stayed here for three months in 2017.

It's a nice clean hotel, with spa facilities.

My favourite receptionist is Emma. She is so friendly and would always smile as i walked in the building.

I gave her, as a gift, 200 miniature lady birds. They were, by the time i left, everywhere all over the hotel

Bulb not changed in bedroom, stunk of smoke!? Squeaky floors everywhere which keeps you awake.. smashed window in room which over looks a coucil estate.. who were in the pool being abusive to my partner..

However! The breakfast was very nice and the bed was comfortable.

The building was very hot also so all in all! Thanks but... no thanks.

Attended for a work training day. Hotel was easy to find, parking was easy. Tea and coffee as well as snacks at tea break were provided and lunch was lovely. The hotel was clean and well presented.

Faulty Towers! Check in was chaotic. My door keys did not work. I had to get them reprogrammed every day for a 4 night stay. Room was v hot with no air con. Food was greasy. Staff were poorly trained. Shouting across dining room that I wasn't on the guest list for breakfast. Served warm beer that had not been in fridge. Overall pretty poor for 150 a night.

I had an enjoyable two nights here. The room was spacious, tidy and the bed was nice and firm. The location is nice, if a little weird being next to a set of new build houses. You are right opposite a dry ski slope though and 10 minutes from the Gloucester Quay shopping outlet. Alongside that you're at a good hopping off point for more than two dozen local landmarks. I guess the best way to describe the Hallmark as better than a Travelodge but not quite a hotel. There's nothing big wrong or missing but there were a couple of things like the self service breakfast where we were told to pick a seat and help ourselves and that the tea and coffee was from flasks. That's not to say any of it was bad, the breakfast items were all excellent. And the facilities were all good. The staff were also excellent with exception of one or two of the staff at breakfast seeming to be harried and a little stressed which put them off a little. All in all though I would recommend staying here. Facilities are good. Staff are friendly. Location is good.

Absolutely horrendous service mainly because there's an element of ableism. It's very 'anti disabled' as I witnessed today. A disabled customer walked in with his care giver/provider and was unwelcome from the start! The gentleman had an obvious verbal/cognitive disability that was very clear.
His care giver gave him a coffee and then he asked for a muffin. Seeing that there were no muffins, his care giver asked the waitress who pointed to some pastries. She got up to serve him some and before she knew it the 'lady' from reception grabbed it out of her hand demanding payment (where do you think you're going? You have to pay!). Mind you there was no one at the till taking payment. However, the care giver did not provide the disabled gentlemen with food that she wasn't ready to pay for. This was proven to be true when she VERY graciously paid for the food without fuss after such a RUDE encounter.

Point blank, that place needs to improve its customer service or just clearly state 'disabled people not allowed'

Excellent hotel with great spa/pool area. There are a few kinks that can be fixed (like not having to walk through the spa reception to get to the pool!) Overall though this is a great hotel at a decent location and would recommend it to anyone.

I've read bad reviews about this hotel before we booked but took a gamble because apparently there was a refurbishment and the deal we got was really good. Location wise it is fairly easy to get to with a short bus ride from the centre or a taxi. If I get the bad points out of the way first, if I'm being picky when we arrived the receptionist had marks down her dress, our room had a few cracks in the wall and it was slightly dated. However my experience was better than those I've read about, for the breakfast there is a wide choice, the staff are really friendly, the leisure facilities and swimming pool and spa are useful additions and the location isn't terrible.

Don't be fooled by the glamourised website, What a dive! Room 37 in the back and beyond of the hotel resembles a hostel bedroom all for the grand price of £149.50.
After marching back to reception with the look of disgust and horror on our faces we were put in room 118, I have to say it was better but still not worth £149.50, before unpacking we took a walk to the leisure facilities........ it was full of kids! And I mean they were everywhere, the pool jacuzzi, half naked soaking wet children roaming the restaurant bar and hotel halls, even the carpets were dirty and needed a good hoover, finger marks on glass.
We got a refund a swiftly left
