Good value for money. Friendly staff, thank you Lucy - receptionist. Great location

As a hotel it was OK nice staff, room was clean. But about six o'clock in the morning what we though was an alarm started going off but was in fact the radiator screaming at us. Must of been air pressure? Fixed with just a twist of the valve.(pretty sure this was just a one off moment) Breakfast was nice, the dinning rooms were a little to warm with little air circulation though. Other than that price of the place was standard.

I actually quite like this hotel and will certainly happily book there again. This may seem a little peculiar because I do not really have much very good to say about it. The rooms are small and the layout of the corridors and staircases is convoluted and confusing, though that does as an element of charm to the place. I had a succession of minor problems with my room and the facilities, none of which the staff seemed to be able to sort out, but they were always friendly and cheerful. I feel as though all the little problems I had should have annoyed me but they never did. I rather enjoyed my stay. For a city centre hotel the prices were very good and when I am in town working, all I really want is clean, quiet and a decent night's sleep. I got all of those.

Great friendly place to stay! Handy for all the tourist attractions in walkable distance. Quietest hotel we've stayed in, will definitely return. Shower could do with upgrade but water hot. Very clean everywhere. Breakfast good too. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Excellent overnight stay. Good size room and very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with complimentary products. Tea and coffee facilities in Room. Large flat screen TV and docking station. Parking at rear of property. You have to ring the hotel on arrival for them to open the roller shutters and costs £10 a day. I would stay here again and happy to recommend.

Originally had a standard room in room 15 which was tiny and smelt of damp. Asked if we could have another room and was upgraded for free to a suite with a four poster bed in room 2. Suite was 3 times the size of the standard room it was very clean and didn't smell of damp. Great customer service and would return to this hotel but only if paying for the suite.

This place certainly has a lot of character. Room was a very good last minute deal and was very clean. Bed was comfy. However! The windows are so thin and given the location, unless you are used to loud drunks hollering outside your window on a Wednesday night, just don't stay here. Seriously. I barely slept at all between the loud university students staying above us, drunkenly stomping around at 3am, and the steady stream of loud drunks outside my window. It is a shame because the staff were great and the room was pretty nice.

Horrible the hotel smells and looks like an old 70s horror film. Rooms a decent size but the bathroom smells so make sure you keep the door closed. The windows are not double glazing(you can hear everything on the main road) and they use old radiators so make sure you have checked to see if they have put the boiler on. I had to get the plumber to turn my radiator on but as it's so weak they needed to bring up a portable heater.

This is the place where if the price is cheap and it's literally a bed for you to crash after a night out clubbing then fine. But don't expect much if you are in Liverpool to see the sights.

The breakfast was standard though they never refilled after 9.20 so make sure you get up early. Also if your a vegetarian or vegan you are out of luck.

My room key stopped working and had to wait 20 minutes with another couple for someone as the desk was empty.

Did I mention it smelled.

It's only getting a 3 as the window wouldn't close in our room as it was missing a handle to close it with. I informed the reception desk Friday and when we left Sunday it wasn't fixed.

The room was nice with comfortable beds, water pressure was bad in the shower and sink.

Room was cleaned and towels changed for us which was nice!

Pity we couldn't close the window as it was a bit draft during the night as it's mid January!

Great location too
