Back in 2016 when I was vegetarian it used to bug me that I couldn't get a decent fast food burger like I used to love. Then when I realised that animal agriculture creates more greenhouse gases than all transport combined!? I went plant based. Now I was super stuck for a decent fast food burger! Working for @tesla at the time, I started working on a restaurant concept that would serve up nostalgic burgers in a familiar setting. It was here I thought that as an individual, I ...could have more impact for the benefit of the environment if I could get a chain of these restaurants off the ground. Banging burgers, better for the environment, win win. I took the plunge and left Tesla in 2018 to start the first Halo Burger @popbrixton.⁣ ⁣ The company mission statement is to 'accelerate the popularity of plant based foods'. We aim to be the 'gateway' restaurant you can bring your meat eating friends to, showing them eating plant based doesn’t mean you have to eat kale and bean sprouts 7 days a week.
