Gym refurbishment update. People want a gym that is airy and light. So that is exactly what you'll have. The eco cooling air conditioning and LED lighting which are currently being installed will ensure the space is not only pleasant to work out in but also energy efficient.

Well done to our walking footballers. The team who train at Highworth Recreation Centre won 6 games to get to the final, beating Abington 1-0 to take the tournament trophy. The club meet on Monday and Thursday day time and are always on the lookout for new members who want to enjoy the beautiful game at a slightly lower pace. Call the Centre on 01793 762602 for details.

User

It has been such an awesome pleasure to host these games and to see the centre full of people having a great time has been lovely ☺️ A huge thank you to all who attended and for the fabulous people who supported and helped to make it all possible.

Zumbathon with Andy Bridgend Halo, absolutely fabulous and all for a great charity Breast cancer research x

User

The staff at all the centres are what make Halo so exceptional! Always make me happy and feel so welcome :)

User

I swim at Pencoed pool almost everyday .. the staff have always gone above and beyond for me especially when I do my charity swims . I have swum at the pool since I was a baby .. from beginners lessons to county squad. The pool is exceptionally well run , is constantly cleaned , the staff are well trained and have staff training every week and will always do their best to help you with any concerns . I wouldn't even consider doing my swim training anywhere else . I wrote an email to Halo head office a year ago but I don't think it ever got passed on to the staff. It just stated my appreciation for the staff at Pencoed pool . They work hard and do their best with the facilities they have . In my opinion , it may not be the newest building in the area like ynysawdre or Bridgend rec but it is by far the best , cleanest and has the highest standards of duty managers you will find . They don't get as much attention as other pools financially in my opinion and it's a shame as they are the better pool by far !

They deserve nothing but praise and will always get it from me

User

Excellent facilities, always clean , always friendly staff. Some of the people writing negative comments probably should try using other gyms and then compare. It's also cheap at around 35 pounds a month.

User

Leominster halo is very good. The staff are very helpful with payments, classes as well as fitness and your goals even they are working out themselves they always find time for you. The only down side I have is that some equipment especially for us men who use the weights section more is very dated and needs to be upgraded a little. Due to the lack of equipment I tend to go to other places as well. Apart from that overall I’m happy

User

I've enjoyed the swim tot sessions in Hereford with my little boy, my only criticism is that the water is too cold for baby's. Surely just the one little pool can be made warmer for the little ones.

User

There are too many classes being cancelled in the bridgend centre ,it's demoralising getting yourself ready to go and when you get to reception only to be told it's been cancelled ,one Sunday went circuits was told instructor hadn't turned up ,quick look at time table saw kettle bells asked to do that instead told "sorry no instructor ",it's getting like faulty towers done there!

User

I'm getting very frustrated with Leominster leisure centre changing the times on its primary classes. Body combat was always so busy on a Wednesday, now they've changed it to late Thursday night no one is going. Listen to your customers please! This is a fantastic class!!!. I drive from Hereford every week just to attend this as Hereford just don't have the variety of classes. I would be devastated if we were to lose this amazing class. PLEASE consider moving it back! :-(

User

I visited the Bridgend centre yesterday for the first time and I must say that I was appalled by the level of cleanliness. The pool changing rooms had rubbish strewn across the floor, the lockers and infrastructure of the cubicles looked like they are rarely/never cleaned; there were visible layers of dust on the bars above the cubicles. It looked unhygienic. I was really disappointed especially as we'd been waiting weeks to find a time for all the family to go as the majority of the pool timetable is taken up by swiming lessons. Poor show Halo.

User

Great activities and friendly, helpful staff at Maesteg Swimming pool, but family changing/shower facilities are absolutely appalling! When will it improve?

User

Very unimpressed with lack of staffing. teenagers can't use gym on Sundays as no instructor after 11am. 3rd time of being turned away. 2x during week and now a Sunday . Told by staff to phone each time before setting off to check. Not helpful at all!!

User

Not happy with change of time for Body Balance on Saturday at Leominster Leisure Centre. I work shifts and often work late on Fridays so if I'm not working on a Saturday, I like a more leisurely start and attend the Balance class at 10:30 to help de-stress from my working week. Disappointed when I turned up today to find it is now at 9:30 :-(

User

I went to Halo Bridgend yesterday to take my toddler swimming. I was appauled by the protocol. When we got there at 11.50 we were told the 12.00 session was full. We were told we could get a ticket for the 1pm session but had to come back to get a ticket at 12.30. Then when we went back at 12.30 we were given a ticket and told we couldn't pay we would have to come back at 12.50. Wen we went back at 12.50 (the 3rd time we had queued) we had to wait for another 15 mins in the queue. This is an absolute joke, what a stupid protocol which certianly isn't customer friendly. Can you explain the thinking, if any, behind this?

User

Hi I have just been to Leominster Halo for a spin class and the instructor didn't turn up, the staff at reception said we could have a credit to use on another class as I pay monthly does that mean that I will have the £6.20 taken off my next month's payment?

Hereford leisure pool is a disgrace. After paying £400 for a yearly membership you’d expect to be able to go when you want but it’s all swimming lessons restricting members to actually be able to go. PLUS you have to pay stupidly high parking. I got a membership so I could go swimming every day but after parking £15 parking for 5 days....that works out as around £700 for a year, so going to halo leisure in Hereford will cost you £1000. NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!!!!

User

Hereford Leisure pool drastically needs a overhaul! Changing rooms don't have enough baby changing units. Lockers locks don't work/missing keys. Pool tiles crumbling away or pieces rusting away. The baby/learning pool was cold the last time I visited despite being told on the phone the previous night the leisure pool would be open. It distinctly lacks wow factor and is looking it's age of 30+ years old now. If Halo group want to keep getting their customers it needs to put money into it to get any sort of return. Very disappointing.

User

Halo leisure you need to get your backsides into gear !!! You have the contract for mainting the churchyard in Highley & it’s an absolute disgrace! My moms first Father’s Day without her Dad & my first Father’s Day without my Grandad - went to the churchyard this morning and it broke my heart what should be a sacred place for time and reflection completely ruined by having to traipse through overgrown grass & weeds - have some respect & sort yourselves out!!!

User

Halo Hereford is Stupidly expensive.

You think you pay £400 for a full membership but what they don’t tell you is if you wanna go swimming everyday it will cost you another £600/£800 in parking!

£1000/£1100 for a membership to a run down, dirty pool/gym is absolutely not acceptable! I’ve complains many times at reception and asked to cancel my membership to go to a health spa which is £300 a year and FREE parking but they refuse me a refund.

DISGRACE! They’d get so many more people is parking wasn’t £600 a year

User

Completely inept management at Bridgend centre, they have been advertising a nicas climbing course for kids I have tried for 6 weeks to book my son on via telephone centre visits and email/Facebook was even promised a call via email that never materialised how they are still running when they treat customers this way I have no idea, do yourself a favour give your hard earned cash to another gym/climbing wall etc. I should add to be fair that the climbing staff there on the floor are good shame about the incompetence of management.
