Hamm Tun Fine Foods was founded in 2013 by Gary Bradshaw, Northamptonshire born and bred. It was surprising to learn that whilst we are famous in Northampton for Shoes, The Saints, The Cobblers and the Carlsberg Brewery there was no sniff of a Northamptonshire cheese - and so the seed of an idea was planted. With a passion for keeping it local and a dedication to sustanability Hamm Tun Fine Foods really started to pick up pace. All of the milk is sourced locally and on the day that the milk is delivered the cheese making proceess begins!

Hamm Tun is an unusual and unique name and one that was chosen with a link to Northamptonshire. In fact during Saxon times the village of Northampton was named Hamm Tun, which means village by the well-watered meadow. Later North was added to the beginning forming North Hamm Tun, this may of been to help distinguish it from Southampton.
