Went there last night for the 2nd time and was a banging night met new people and saw some people that I know cheep drinks the only bad thing is all the pushing and shoving to get a drink but u get that most places will deffo be coming back �

The staff, security and management treat me like the queen i am....they are respectful and have been actively kind and generous whenever i have paid a visit. I have mental health problems and am treated with great respect, warmth and good humour x I have read some of the negative reviews which is why I wanted to post this one ....I have seen many a time customers behaving appallingly, drunk and belligerent and none of the staff should have to put up with bad behaviour from anyone....don't create a problem and there (from experience) won't be one. Everyone who works at the venue wants you to have the best night as it makes a good environment for us all to enjoy x

The best LGBT+ venue in the area! We’ve been using the HB for a few months now and are loving it for its open, non judgmental attitude. A great mix of weekly events too, absolutely loving the fact that Portsmouth has mid week Cabaret!!

Okay not gonna lie i may be biased because i work here but i have also worked in many other venues and do go to some other venues on my nights out but nothing beats HB . Everyone is so friendly and everyone chats to eachother. Rarely is there trouble and everyone is welcome. Regulars are so welcoming and friendly and so are the other staff . I enjoyed working other venues but this one is the best i love it and spend most of my nights off here as a customer. No judgement just friendly faces , drinks and dancing.

If people know me, they know I'm in HB at least once a week. I know the majority of the bar staff the owners the manager and 2 of the DJ's I love the place it's like a second family in there for me. I've been to other gay clubs and pubs ranging from Brighton across to Southampton and for me HB is by far the best place I feel comfortable to be who I am ��

I wasn't there yet but I'm interesting if I will find my half for me actually I'm lonely so see you then ����

I absolutely love hb the staff are wonderful and the bouncers are absolutely brilliant especially the really overly happy and smiling guy with the beard working Wednesday and the funny smiley female. Also the manager is an absolute beaut!! Will defo be coming back ���

it was the first time i ever been in the club on 11/01/16. and even though i am straight, the vibe and atmosphere was great and i met some really interesting different people, either way i respect and never judge those who are bi or gay as they are still human beings who just want fun like everyone else who does, so it was truly an experience. drinks ae amazing good price too by the way and the smoking area is another good sot to meet people too, if your on your own :)

Had a great time everyone was friendly full of beautiful people smoke machine was a bit much at times but apart from that it was a good night

Well, after coming here for a fair few months, at least 3 nights out a month in HB. It's safe to say that I will not be returning. Myself and a friend decided to come to karaoke on a Wednesday, the night started well, but got worse. The bouncer had her eye on my friend all night, accused him of being too drunk, grabbed his arm and forcefully told him to leave. We both spent a fair amount of money in there that night and we weren't causing trouble. I wasn't best pleased that my friend was physically dragged out the door by his arm. There was way more people inside that were highly intoxicated whether it be alcohol or drugs causing a scene a lot more than we were. Upon leaving I then got called a "fat whale" by the manager. Absolutely charming way to treat your customers.

The bouncers and bar manger are a total disgrace and should be ashamed of themselves. Totally homophobic and aggressive. I warn you don’t go and spend you money else where. Be careful!

So came for a night out was in the garden having a cigarette and for no reason at all the manager walked past and abused my cousin,

Telling her she could've dressed better, looked like she was a council estate.

This was completely unprovoked and so uncalled for. He then brought out 2 bouncers and pointed her out as "the one with the bad skin" and got her kicked out.

This is absolutely disgusting behaviour and from a manager haha.

No apology or anything you either need to train your staff better or you need a new manager.

No one deserves that. Glad were banned what vile and rude staff you have.

Wouldn't let my other half in as he was "to drunk" (we only had a couple of drinks before we went out) but then stood there and let two guys in drugged off their faces and eyes rolling to the back of their head and couldn't even get their ID out!!!!



So to be able to get in, do you need to be smashed off your tits on drugs??? And not allowed a glass of wine before you go out!??



To top it off, as we got in the cab, they then smiled at us & waved us off.... Well you lost out 5 customers as we went on to the Edge and had a great night. twats!!!
