This is one if not the best theatres in London and is does some great productions. Filthy Business was an excellent show can't wait for next one.

User

Super convenient with Swiss Cottage tube 1 minutes walk away. A well stocked bar unless you wanted cider the night I went. Grrrr.

The play was one of the most polished I've ever seen. Great chemistry ,excellent stage presence intriguing storyline riddled with twists and turns. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

User

Saw Sex With Strangers which I loved! It was my first visit to this theatre and I'll definitely be back. It's a great use of space and has a good selection of food and drink. Easily accessible as a few seconds from Swiss Cottage tube.

User

Recently moved to the neighbourhood and been to this thater a few times. Went to watch Sex With Strangers and loved it! I love everything about this theater, the plays, the snaks, the rooms, the bar... everything!

User

Lovely intimate theatre conveniently located next to Swiss Cottage Tube. Staff were all very pleasant at what was my first ever visit to see Genesis Inc. Nice front of house bar with additional outdoor seating too.

User

Love Hampstead Theatre - rarely a bad production. Particularly love "Downstairs" for intense and intimate theatre experiences. Saw R&D last night and what a superb cast and interesting story. Highly recommend it and can't wait to see my next one there in a couple of weeks.

User

I've been to this theatre a few times now - always to downstairs - I've always been impressed by the versatility of the space and the capability of the fantastic actors.

User

I loved to be there for the play "Gloria". I enjoyed every minute of it, all actors were brilliant, but above all, I must say that Colin Morgan was supreme. The plot is interesting and full of surprises. Its funny but also dramatic. Great atmosphere. I had to buy 3 tickets and I watched it three times. Simply amazing. I'm gonna miss it when I'll be back to Rome.

User

First time at Hampstead theatre yesterday, seeing Sex with strangers, with 3 girls friends. Great experience at the theatre, really nice and cozy. We loved it and will be back for sure.

The show was great, Theo James incredible and the time just flew by.

User

Fantastic theatre, polite staff, and a superb show

I and you .

Well done Maisie and Zac xxx

User

Beautiful beautiful venue! Lovely theatre, clean! Didn't have to queue for the loos and they were so modern unlike a lot of London Theatres. Great staff, great programme ‚≠źÔłŹ

User

A lovely warm place. My very first visit on Friday 10th Feb. I was there to listen to a discussion by Julian Fellowes. Thoroughly enjoyed the talk and purchased two books for the book signing.

I will be back.

User

iHo - Very well acted with an occasional shaky American accent. Some wonderful multiple conversations at one time in extended family arguments. Overall the writer was a little self-indulgent and the play could easily be shorter than it's 3 hours running time without losing any impact.

User

Well written with humour, sensitivity and superbly acted by a talented cast ! Fantastic !

User

Travelled from south wales as i wierdly have a list of theatres i want to go to..

Loved the theatre, Cell Mates was excellent with excellent acting performances in a thought provoking play...

BUT

BUT.

Who on gods earth put old performance photos on a BOG door..

What a way for ur performance to be remembered..

Who thought of it and what manager thought hey thats a good idea...

They need mental health help badly...

User

I really like this theatre. I saw Slaves of Solitude in the upstairs theatre which was interesting and all seats had a great view.

I saw, yesterday, Mother Christmas which I absolutely loved. I watched it downstairs in the very intimate theatre - I really enjoyed it!

User

Went to see Sex With Strangers on Saturday. Unimpressed. A bland and predictable plot and little chemistry between the cast makes you wonder why they would bother to argue, let alone sleep together.

But I won't try to pin that on the actors, it ultimately falls to the director for miscasting or failing to bring out the performance. Whilst there is little in the plot to work on, there was a distinct lack of tension throughout. The sets were impressively 'real' but let down by poorly nuanced sound effects and bizarre lighting positioning.

That said, it's a good theatre, but my recommendation would be to go and see something else.

User

This was the fourth theatre performance I have seen Tamsin Grieg - actually the fifth as I could not find someone to take the last ticket for The Little Dog Laughed - but she is brilliant every time. The play kept us talking until late in the night - so good and so sensitively written. Brilliant. My husband wanted to walk out after the first act but was riveted by the second and never regretted staying! Brilliant! thank you mostly to the writer and the cast but also of course th HT for staging this. A huge thank you!

User

The theatre itself is wonderful. But 'Sex With Strangers' was terrible, I'm very sorry to say. Myself and the two friends I was with, struggled to sit through the 2hours. Direction, story line, dialogue, execution, chemistry, believability, relationship, accents..... really poor and, well, vapid. Plus the actors often had shadows across their faces! Great set design though. Sorry to be so blunt, but there is no way around it. Shame! Otherwise, I normally love HT and it's productions.
