This is a great little village pub. We get a warm welcome whenever we go in from Dan and the team and the Real Ales are amazing.

I haven't eaten there for a while but the villagers have told me its beautiful home cooked food that they love.

Just had a lovely family meal tonight. Great to see a kids menu now and so much choice. Would really recommend for a really good local meal out.

Had a fantastic night at the gin tasting, thank you to Danny, George, John and the lovely Zara from Peaky Distillery. Fantastic knowledge from them all and delicious gins paired with lovely double dutch tonics, fruit and herbs, as well as a plate of canopès it made for a lovely evening.

Fabulous food & service. The homemade baileys cheesecake is the best cheesecake I’ve ever tasted. The staff are really friendly & make you feel very welcome. You’ll be spoilt for choice with the selection of gin’s available. It really is worth a visit . Thank you to you all.

What more could you ask for at your local?

We visited on Saturday evening, having booked a table for 2 for 19.30.

We were excited due to some of the reviews on here � having lived around the corner for 20 years and having many disappointing experiences with food and atmosphere we entered with much anticipation! I’m afraid I was disappointed � we weren’t acknowledged by the 2 young girls behind the bar for several minutes while they were chatting � the pub was packed out with children & teenagers and was very noisy �

However my hubby loved his Thai Red Curry, I unfortunately ordered the Korean Beef Bulgogi £11.95 apparently stirred fried with onions, what I got was 6 small pieces of beef that resembled & tasted like shoe leather, served on a piece of wet lettuce & no sign of any onions � the coconut rice was devoid of coconut� we will visit again because we are desperate for the H&H to be a great local, maybe midweek when it’s Quieter & Calmer!

I hate to make a bad review but felt that some feedback was needed, be it good or bad.

Ordering at the bar wasn’t the best. How much effort is required to take an order from a table.

The high chair we were given was filthy and took almost a full pack of wipes to clean.

Being eye rolled by a waiter because he brought someone else’s food to our table was just rude.

Then the food. I ordered the French burger, but choose chicken instead of beef. It was awful and although I only ate a small amount I’ve had a terrible tummy ache since. So so greasy. The cheese was not Brie and the bun tasted like it has been deep fried. Slopped together with a mountain of salad, which I’m assuming was to fill the plate.



Really bad and I hope it improves. Beautiful location just a shame that the service and food wasn’t up to scratch
