Hargroves Cycles

I have been to Hargroves a couple times I have now lost faith in the shop. Simple fluids such as reverb oil is not available. I took my farther in there to look at bikes for him , we browsed for a good 15mins with out any attention from the staff. To add to these experiences a couple months back I was given a brake cable instead of a gear cable, sadly I was stupid enough not to check this before leaving the shop. All in all there are better stocked and more attentive shops in Swindon that are more welcoming. I think Hargroves has its place in the market but only just above Halfords.

Honestly a great service. The team was so helpful and made the process painless. Helped us pick the right bike in our budget. Ordered the bike so we could test ride it for size, then held it for 6 weeks until pick up date. In the mean times ordered a brand new bike and built it in the store on collection day. And threw in a free bike lock as we for a short wait we had because the shop was very busy. Great gesture and great shop and will defo give them further custom. Can't recommend enough

Fixed my daughters bike for free when her chain broke.Mark did it while we waited. Top bloke.

Really helpful guys, I phoned them at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon trying to source a Dura Ace press fit bottom bracket. Not only did they have the correct part in stock, they asked me how soon I needed it fitting & chancing my arm a bit, I cheekily said ASAP. The very nice gentleman at Hargroves said if I popped around the store, they'd fit it while I waited. What more can you ask for, especially late in the day on a Saturday. Really friendly & professional service & highly recommended.

My bike developed a problem with the gears due to the bike falling over and damaging the mech - phoned up on bank holiday on the off chance they were open and was told I could bring it in and they would look at it while I waited. Took it in, they fixed it immediately, no charge = loyal customer

Came in here looking for a particular bike (listed on their website) didn't seem particularly engaging or interested even though we were prepared to spend nearly £3.5k. After an age found out they don't have any in stock. No discussion as to what type of riding we will be doing, no alternatives suggested. We will be going elsewhere.

A big thank you to the mechanic at Hargroves who managed to locate a certain bolt required for my son's seat post clamp. V helpful friendly service.

Excellent all round. Very knowledgeable about the specific bike I was after, which is impressive for such a general cycle retailer. Happily price matched a price I'd seen at another retailer (in Scotland) and whizzed through the pre-sale check as I was in a rush. Can't fault them.

By far the worst customer service i have ever recieved, had to wait 2 weeks for parts that should of been in the box with the brand new item i recieved. I had to constantly call to chase what was going on aswell as store manager promising things and never delivering on the promises

Excellent service department, always seem to be able to fit you in or at least look at your bike. Excellent diagnostics and don't carry out / charge you for unrequired work.

Shop carries good stock and on the whole comparable with internet prices.

Staff are efficient and customers aren't kept waiting.
