I needed some small job done and the service and price was excellent. Bike was checked in efficiently and repair was done within 90 mins and a phone call to say it was ready. All done for £20, Very happy.

Forced to stop due to a flat, it costed £16 to replace an inner tube in less than 10' work. Rather steep I think.

Always very helpful but not sales pushy, making every visit a comfortable experience. Giving useful advice and professional service when it's needed. Thanks.

Save the hastle and go elsewhere

I was particularly disappointed with Hargroves Totton. When previously purchasing road bikes, other shops have taken the time to set the bike up to the correct geometry for use and talked through the set-up etc. Despite spending almost £2,000, the bike was simply handed to me as if I had purchased a packet of crisps in a newsagents.

When I raised my concern they were not interested in assisting and it was easier for me just to take the bike away. There was an issue with the stem and despite calling numerous times, my calls were never returned and no result was ever concluded.

On my first ride, the seat post and stem both moved, after limping it to Hargroves Winchester, it was evident that this was because fibre grip had not been added during set-up and it had not been correctly tightened.

Simply-not good enough. Even the staff in Hargroves Winchester commented how many negative comments they had received regarding Totton since the manager transferred recently.

If you want a good bike and good customer service and have to buy a bike from Hargroves (as did I) then go to Hargroves Winchester and leave the jokers in Totton to sell children's bikes only.

Staff are always very helpful and the store is quite large so the range of products available is massive. Could easily spend a small fortune in here.

Bought a new saddle from them recently, which turned out to be unsuitable. I took it back and a refund was gladly given. The staff are friendly, helpful and polite. Will definitely use this branch rather than the one in Millbrook in the future.

Having purchased 3 bikes in the last 18 months I have nothing but praise for this store. The staff are friendly & helpful & the range of bikes & equipment is excellent.
My most recent purchase, my first road bike, was a bit of a risk given a back problem that I have but the member of staff advised on which bikes may suite & even allowed me a test ride on their bike to see how it felt. Well 7 weeks down the line the advise was spot on, the new bike has now had its free first service & is riding as sweet as a nut so a big thank you to the sales & workshop staff for a job well done & making me a very happy cyclist!
