Between 1956 and 2005 Ed McBain published a series of police procedural novels about the 87th Precinct - a fictional squad in a fictional, unnamed, city.

Three English Idiots, Paul, Morgan and Stephen, use these books as a starting point for discussions about anything at all. With (hopefully) friends and guests chipping in and spin-offs to look at the 87th Precinct in other media, this is a celebration of books that we all love and hope you love too.
