About Harmans Cross Camping Park
Campsite set in 8 acres of open countryside, with beautiful views over the Purbeck Hills. We are adjacent to Harmans Cross Steam Railway Station.
Harmans Cross Camping Park Description
Set in 8 acres of open countryside, with beautiful views over the Purbeck Hills, this is a wonderful location for exploring the beauty of the Dorset coastline and countryside.
We are adjacent to Harmans Cross Steam Railway Station. The Swanage Railway offers a more intensive heritage steam and diesel timetable train service than virtually any other preserved railway, and visitors can experience a unique journey through six miles of beautiful scenery passing the magnificent ruins of Corfe Castle.
We are open from the the last week of July until the August Bank Holiday
We welcome dogs, but must be on a lead at all times
There is a playpark adjacent to our site the entrance is at the Harmans Cross village hall.
Please note we also have a caravan site at the same location. The caravan site is open all year, but only has access to the toilets and showers during late July and August when the main camping site is open. Caravans, campervans and tents are all welcome at the caravan site, however you do need to be a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club to use this part of the site (this does not apply to the main site, open to all tent owners during the summer).

Very good location and well organised!!! My only gripe was the showers , didn’t feel u got long enough before they got hot then cut out ! Apart from that was very clean and would return . Many thanks
Very clean. Lovely site. Beautiful location. We will be going back.
This was a trial for us as we are extremely fussy. I must say this campsite has outstanding facilities and the owners go out of their way to help you. Ideally located for exploring this beautiful area. We will be back
This is a fantastic site the jewel in crown of Swanage area. We have been countless times over the past 5 years and it just gets better and better.. Called in recently and had a sneak peak at the new toilets and showers it's massive. The shop is so well stocked and reasonably priced often just rely on it for our food. It's a bit like the TV program open all hours. I can guarantee old or young new to camping or a veteran you will have a thoroughly fine time..
Stunning Views! Massive space! Clean facilities! 5 star all round!
Only 3 traps in men's toilet, one water tap, unfriendly and rude staff, had to park hired van in nearby carpark
Just home after 3 nights here. Site was busy but not overcrowded. Grass was mown short. Easy to push pegs in. Toilets/showers were spotless. Plenty of hot shower time for a 50p token (available from on site shop) Pitch where you please. Hook ups available for those who want them. Fabulous views. Booking advised during school holidays. Not many level pitches. Friendly owners made us feel welcome even though we hadn't booked.
Loads of space!
It's a great campsite in a beautiful location abd best of all right next to the steam railway with a station right on the doorstep.
Great campsite with Stunning views and fantastic sunsets. I am not a train lover so thought that after a few days the trains might get annoying but they really didn't it was lovely watching them go by and they don't start till about 10/10:30 and finish around half six. The owners were very welcoming and the shop has everything you might need including fresh rolls in the morning for breakfast. They have a freezer that you can use to put your ice packs in free of charge and they will happily charge your phone for £1. The shower/toilet block is new and clean. The showers are tokens that are 50p each but well worth it lovely and hot. The only criticism would be that the token box is outside of the shower and starts from when you put the token in not when you turn the water on. But will definitely be back again as the site is in an ideal location for everything that we wanted to do on this holiday.
Excellent campsite, lots of space and right next to the steam railway. Shower and toilet facilities kept extremely clean and tidy.
A real reputation-saver! Having promised my children a weekend's camping in Purbeck at short notice I found all my short-listed campsites were full. Fortunately for me (and my reputation!) Harman's Cross Camping Park had decided to open this weekend and had plenty of room for us and others. I found the owners to be friendly, welcoming and helpful. I should've come here first!
A great location, a south-facing slope away from the road and right beside the heritage railway (which stops running by bedtime and doesn't start again until after 9am in the morning). The amenity block is modern, smart and clean and the shop sells all the essentials.
