About Harmonisedmuscles

I aim to reduce pain and tension in the body through massage. This helps in the recovery and prevention of injuries and aids in stress management.

Harmonisedmuscles Description

I help men and women, who love to exercise, prevent injury and get out of pain. I will help reduce the time spent injured, return muscles to their original length allowing for a fuller range of motion in the joints. This will allow you to get back to what you love doing quickly, safe in knowledge that you are being guided professionally through this period. When I see a person in pain, I want to help them, it's the reason I started massaging. I come from a sporting background and used to get injured quite a bit. I know what is feels like to not be able to exercise. I've been frustrated, depressed and guilty at being injured and unable to train or do the simple things in life, like tie my shoe laces. If you have ever felt the same way because you can't exercise, due to injury or chronic pain, then the techniques I have been trained in will help you.

No more painful massages, come and try myofascial release πŸ’ͺπŸƒ Book now: www.harmonisedmuscles.com . . . With shoulder issues, as well releasing the shoulder girdle and all the associated musculature of that region, I like to think "what other muscles attach to this region, that could be contributing to the issue". Here I am focusing on releasing The Latissmus Dorsi muscle, which is one of the biggest muscles of the back and has several attachment sites, the thoracolumbar fasci...a, Iliac Crest, Spinous Processes of the T7-T12, Inferior 3 or 4 ribs, Inferior angle of the scapula and posterior humerus. It is primarily responsible for abduction/extension/Internal Rotation of the arms at the shoulders. .
It also assists in Extension/Flexion/Lateral Flexion of the trunk, Anterior/Latetal pelvic tilt, Depression/Protraction of the scapula, Deep Inspiration and Forced Expiration. That's a lot of responsibility, so if the fascia becomes stuck, you can see how this could begin to effect the whole body. I've got my client side lying here, with his arm already in the Abducted position. This allows me the access the Latissmus Dorsi, by slowly sinking into the tissues on the lateral edge of the scapula. The tissue is slightly slack, to make it easier to sink into, once the fascia is engaged I then slowly increase the abduction of the arm while initializing pressure inferiorly towards the hips and wait for the fascia to "open up" in front of my left hand. I'm challenging the fascia in 2 ways here, stretching and compression. I can also change the angle of the arm pull by internally and externally rotating the humerus, which allows me to cover more surface area of fascia. The main Line of Fascia that is being released here is the Lateral Line. This leaves the client with a feeling of being more "open" along the sides of the body. Even though my left hand will stop at the clients Iliac Crest, the release of upper half of the Lateral Line will also have a direct effect on the lower Lateral Line. I wanted to share this.
I appreciate that there are men out there who think that they don't need help, or are afraid to be seen to ask for guidance in case they are labelled....I know, cos I was one of those men.
This is a workshop for MEN who want to fulfill the potential, that they know is deep inside of them. ... It is run by a group of men who have the highest integrity in their work and give of their knowledge wholly and without question or judgement. I attended one of their workshops in Dec '18, "Finding The King Within", the experience has helped me to acknowledge that I have the strength to ask for help, that it's not a mark on my character to do so. That there are other men who are willing to help and offer their guidance.
I was nervous/apprehensive/scared, I was putting myself into a environment that was unusual...just like life can be, but I also knew that something had to change for me. Through the exercises which Rod, Ed and Diarmuid laid out for us and guided us through, I came away from that weekend with a greater sense of my strengths and how I could move forward in this world, trying to become the best version of myself.
I would highly recommend taking part on a workshop with these men and would encourage any man, at the very least, to head to the website and have a read through it and then make up your mind as to how you want to proceed.
The choice is yours

This technique is great at the start and end of any session. The client relaxes their legs, heels heavy in my hands, and I gentle ease the legs away from the hips sensing for any restrictions in the tissues. This decompresses the vertebra of the lumbar spine in a supportive way for the body and encourages space in the hip joints, as well as releasing the tissue from the lower back all the way through to the heels. Runners, cyclists and people who sit for long periods of tim...e or have issues with their lower back and hips find this technique very relieving. As I work primarily with the fascia, the intention here is to engage the whole of the back line of the body, from the occiput to the plantar surface of the feet....leaving the client feeling lengthened and taller from head to toe. #harmonisedmuscles #yogapoint #southlondon #hernehill #eastdulwich #brixton #painfree #sportsinjury #running #marathon #cycling

"I've been having massages with Eoin about once a month since the beginning of 2018 and can really feel the difference he is making. Having had lots of different types of massage over the years, I would say that Eoin stands out in terms of his approach and the thoroughness of his treatments. He is really helping reduce the intensity of my chronic neck pain and always provides supportive suggestions for exercises between sessions. I thoroughly recommend him" - Emma, London . .... . book your first appointment and get into the body of optimum health you deserve πŸ’ͺ

Is your neck stiff after the Christmas break? Or maybe you are having trouble lifting your arm? OR maybe you hit up the January exercise plan too hard and have gained an injury. πŸ€•
All of these can be improved and healed with myofascial release.🌿 What is Myofascial Release?
Myofascial release is a manual therapy technique that puts the focus on damaged myofascial tissuesβ€”the connective tissues that wrap and support your muscles. Kind of like a spider web. When areas of this ti...ssue become restricted or contracted, it inhibits blood flow and muscle/joint movement, as well as causing pain.
