True English grit & perseverance. . . or is it madness & beer? Well done all on such a horrible wet night.

Just to let all our Facebook followers know that on Tuesday evening from about 8pm we will be hosting Morris Dancers from Adlington and Stockport. Also remember that tomorrow, Mon 23rd April, is St Georges Day, no better way to celebrate than with a pint of Robinsons finest in a traditional English pub. Cheers.

The lengths our staff will go to so that you can sit by the roaring fires with a pint and a pie!

User

Just to let all our Facebook followers know that unfortunately due to the weather conditions and the amount of road closures in the local area, that we are very sorry but we will not be serving food this evening, as it is too dangerous and difficult for our kitchen staff to get in this evening from their homes. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

User

Congratulations to our 2017 Conker Champion, Guy Dingle, thanks to our judges, Edward Massey and Mark Shaw and to all the participants for your continued support!

User

Just to let all our Facebook followers know that our Annual Conker Competition will take place on Sun 12th Nov at around 7.30pm. A little later this year due to the lack of decent conkers so if anyone has a supply, all donations will be gratefully received before hand as you are not permitted to bring your own on the night . . . the judges wouldn't like it! Entry form & copy of the rules are available at the bar. Cheers.

Visited on the recommendation of an acquaintance who said it would be a good place to spend the afternoon if the weather was wet, while waiting for one of the Gawsworth Hall concerts to start. Well, the weather was fine but we'd booked a table for ourselves and a couple of other friends who were over from Australia so we rolled up early to 'sus' the place out. Immediately loved it. Had a beer, and another. Went up to the Hall, met our friends and walked back in time to have our meal. Now, these folk aren't easily impressed but they too loved the whole deal. Great beer, good food and service in a place that has real charm. Can see why they have awards hanging in the entrance. If the opportunity arises, we'll certainly be back... whatever the weather. Recommended.

This quaint, traditional, country pub is a gem! Excellent beer and food with a warm welcome. If you're going to ear, it's probably a good idea to book a table, as we appeared to get the last one available at 6:00 p.m.! Yes it's that good and popular, if you're in the area, give yourself a treat.

This pub has amazing food, you know the good old proper English food your mum used to make. Also have locally sourced game. Friendly staff, great area outside and dog friendly

This has long been my favourite pub - and I’ve been in a good few in my time. In winter the roaring fires and warm lighting complement the fabulous food and Robinson’s beer which is kept and served to absolute perfection. In summer on a warm afternoon or evening to sit in the wonderful garden with views over the lovely Cheshire countryside whilst enjoying a High Tower Burger and pint of Veltins is my idea of what life might actually be about. It really is what I imagine pubs to have been like many, many years ago and is frequented by lovely local folk and visitors alike. Book a table to avoid disappointment if eating and you won’t fail to be impressed by this gem of a traditional country pub. Marvellous.

The heart and soul of any pub is the people that run it and the people that choose to frequent it, there is no doubt that the Harrington is a great pub - you know when you walk in that this place has a long and chequered history with many a tale to tell.

It boasts good food, good good crack and timeless atmosphere but without Andy and Caroline the pub would be a heartless shell. They have managed to maintain a fine balance between running a sustainable business whilst maintaining the character and unique qualities of this rare gem of a pub - long May you reign!

Cheers!!!

Stopped for a meal on the way back from Staffordshire with our two teens. Great food - every morsel savoured by all of us. Great service!

User

One of the best Sunday lunches going.

User

Nice fresh food very polite and helpful staff, well worth a visit if you're in the area

User

My only problem with this place is I have no idea why we don't go more often!

Firstly the staff are welcoming and nice with it making you totally at ease. Then there's the little rooms where if like us you have taken you "yappy" dog you can find a nice quiet spot away from others as to not inflict your dog on the others. The place is also in such a lovely spot for a short walk beforehand .... but saving the best for last it's a Robinsons pub with quite simply a real good hearty menu that doesn't disappoint for all... including vegetarians.. many thanks see you soon (I promise) 😋🍻👍

User

Lovely quirky country pub. Great service, nice bar staff, good selection of beers. Sat out in the beer garden on a sunny afternoon enjoying a beer or two 🍺☀️

User

Love this place reminded me of what pubs used to be like great food as well

User

Just popped to the Harrington arms for somewhere to go on a Saturday afternoon. Absolutely lovely place, with a beautiful outdoor space. And, my freshly made pizza was fantastic! Exceptionally friendly staff too. X

User

I really enjoyed the cozy quiet atmosphere, the roaring fire, friendly service but best of all the food. Gorgeous piping hot roast beef dinner, cooked to perfection, not over facing, and homemade gravy.

User

Great find. Just off the main road and all but hidden. Bags of character. Sunday lunch totally home cooked and top quality. Not on our doorstep but gone in the black book for future use.

User

Good down to earth pub grub with a roaring fire, great beer and friendly service. This was our third or fourth visit and won't be our last!

User

Food was lovely, staff very polite and friendly. They made sure we were happy with the Sunday lunch we ordered, which was piping hot and lovely and fresh. Plenty on our plates too. Pub cozy and warm with coal fire on the go. We'll definitely go again. Thank you...

User

Food is brilliant! Staff are lovely what more could you ask for!
