Great fish and chips. Had Legendary Haddock - was cooked to perfection, and I’ve enjoyed every bit of it!

As it was my birthday, staff prepared an ice cream with a candle and berries (free of charge), which was a nice touch!

Absolutely brilliant meal. The fish was cooked to perfection and the chips were lovely and crisp. The waiter was very helpful and everything arrived quickly. The restaurant was spotless . Would heartily recommend this restaurant .

User

Sadly small portions even for the large size...only one toilet which isn't good in busy times...only a couple of the staff were cheerful as the others were miserable as sin....should try to put a smile on their face for the customers .

User

Food was great tasting and staff were very polite my only complaint would be the fish portion seemed to have shrunk a bit but very tasty

User

The toilets (I should say toilet, only one in the restaurant) were filthy and the toilet seat broken and not attached to its hinges, which is very helpful when you have small children. Service was extremely slow and portion sizes were very small considering the price you are charging for them. Food was nice, but everything else made it a disappointing experience.

User

Really enjoyed the food but was a bit over priced. Fish tasted fresh and wasn't covered in grease, gravy was really moorish! I would go back to be fair just thought it wasn't cheap for fish and chips!

User

Not enough staff could of walked out with out paying as there was no one at the till and no staff to be seen we waited a while, In till we spotted a member of staff must say enjoyed the food nice and hot.

Harry Ramsden would pirouette in his grave if he could see the travesty of his original fish and chip shop brought about by marketing, brand management and chain logistics.

User

Wasnt very good at all. Chips dry and not very hot. Fish overcooked and dry inside yet the batter was soggy. Peas were fine though

User

The food wasn't too bad. I would give that a 4 out of 5. Fish wasn't covered in grease which was good. Used the toilets after we had eaten. They were worse than most public toilets I have used. There is no way I would have eaten there if we had been in them first. They are shocking

User

The food was good but expensive. Child meals overpriced. Restaurant tired and very untidy not because it was busy but because the staff very slow and not really interested in their customers. Several mistakes made on the order !! My second visit there and probably the last. It's the prime position and name that keeps them going. Could defiantly do better. I won't be going back

Can’t see how this chain is famous for it dos & chops! I have been to a lot better restaurants serving fish I.e. McDermotts Forestdale. The service was ok friendly waitresses but had to wait a time to be served it wasn’t overly busy. The food we had a long wait, apologies were made once our meals had come. My brother had the fish he wasn’t impressed. Batter over done and oily. I had the beef & mushroom pie which was tasty and pack with meat the gravy was good so I enjoyed my meal. Would not go back.

A bit surprising to go to a place that is supposedly world famous for its fish and chips, and the chips were cold and seemed to have been deep fried and then reheated. The fish tasted like it had been treated the same way. The amount of tartar sauce was tiny, and when the waitress asked if we wanted her to bring us some more sauce we said the she could surprise us - and she did! We got ketchup! Hurray!

Wish we gone to Brighton. Worthing's branch is the worst we have ever been to. They got the order wrong and then brought it to me could after my partner had finished his. The were no peas, just a bland plate. The chips tasted like they had been there for days. Brighton branch is perfect, sorry we did not go there.....

Very dissappointed yesterday , no half Chicken available and no sweeteners for our tea , we looked in the cafe around the corner after having our lunch and they were serving cod and chips and peas and a drink for almost £4 less and looking at it the size of the fish was definitely bigger than yours and looked a lot better .

User

This used to be first class fish and chips, but recently it has deteriorated both in quality of food and the service. The fish was dry and tasteless and the chips tasted like they had been laying around too long.

The portion size has also reduced and it is quite expensive. Won’t be going back there again!

Got seated quickly..sat there for 15 minutes without even being offered a drink. Shame that such a good name has been allowed to lower its customer service. Currently sat round the corner at Blue Ocean fish and chips spending my money.
