A 1940s street party with live music and swing dancing and World War 2 re-enactors are just some of the fantastic attractions the National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool has lined up as part of Hartlepool's Armed Forces Day this Saturday 29th June, plus it's waiving its normal entry fees in return for a donation, as Rachel Shepherd, the Museum's Events Manager, explains here. We're expecting lots of visitors to Seaton Carew over the weekend and we hope everyone has a great time. However, we currently have a colony of rare little terns breeding on the beach and we'd be grateful if people would respect the site and avoid disturbing the birds. It's easy to spot the site as it has been roped off and signs have been put up. Thanks for your support.
