Beware of the dangers of illegal teeth whitening. Teeth whitening has to be carried out by a Dental professional to ensure that a safe amount of whitening gel is applied to the teeth and that the teeth and gums are healthy before having the procedure.

Easy Ways to Avoid Tooth Loss
Many people really believe that tooth loss only occurs in older people, but recent trends are telling a different story. In 2015 it was reported that 50 percent of 8 year olds were suffering from signs of tooth decay.
There are a number of steps you can take which are described below:
... 1. Gum disease is one of the main reasons for tooth loss and can be reduced by giving up smoking, brushing and flossing twice a day, cutting down on sugar consumption including drinking fizzy drinks. Go to see your dentist twice annually. Your dentist is trained to detect gum disease in its early stages and can treat the problem before it`s too late.
2. If you play a contact sport that could cause a blow to your mouth it is advisable to use a suitable mouthguard.
3. Don`t chew hard objects like pen tops, ice cubes and boiled sweets
4. Buying a tongue scraper is a good investment, as around 50% of bacteria found in the mouth are on our tongues and as bacteria is the main reason for tooth loss the tongue should be cleaned as often as the teeth.
5. Give up smoking, as smokers are likely to experience tooth loss far more often than non-smokers.
6. Eating only small amounts of sugar and foods rich in calcium will help your teeth to remain stronger and free of decay.
7. See your dentist twice a year, so problems with your teeth are detected early.

Are you dreaming of a Whiter, Brighter Smile? 5 Reasons to Avoid Cheap Home Teeth Whitening Kits
1. They won`t create the white teeth you desire Your teeth won’t reach the colour you desire as it`s important that the tray you fit over your teeth, which keeps the whitening solution on your teeth, is custom made by your dentist. The dentist`s whitening technique will bring much whiter teeth
... 2. They may inflict damage on your teeth Cheap home teeth whitening products may cause irreparable damage to your teeth`s enamel, which is the outer protective layer, but your dentist would never allow that to happen
3. They won`t make severely discoloured teeth much whiter Teeth whitening isn’t a permanent cure for anything, but only offers a temporary aesthetic solution. You should ask your dentist for the range of other dental solutions available for improving the appearance of your teeth if they are permanently discoloured.
4. Nerves may be damaged Using cheap whitening kits may damage your teeth’s nerves as well as the enamel. This takes place due to the enamel enclosing your teeth becoming more permeable following frequent use of whitening kits. Chronic teeth pain from nerve damage could mean tooth extraction is the only solution.
5. Standard sized mouth guards are used A mouth guard is necessary to avoid damage to tissue surrounding the teeth. Cheap whitening kits contain a one size fits all mouthguard that often leaks, causing painful blisters to develop. This won`t happen with a mouthguard fitted by your dentist, which will be custom made to fit the shape of your teeth and mouth

Why it's good to smile..
There's nothing quite like a smile for perking you up, as well as those around you.
Smiling, laughing, and positive thinking have been shown to have a huge number of health benefits to both mind and body.
... When you laugh, your body releases endorphins. These are brain chemicals known as neurotransmitters, which make us feel happy. They are also a natural pain and stress reliever.
Laughing reduces levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, and gives us a quick burst of energy.
A good laugh can be beneficial to the lungs, boost immunity, and could even burn off calories.
Smiley, happy people are thought to have more friends and be more successful, by appearing more confident.

It is said that a smile is contagious. When you see someone smiling, your natural response is to smile back. Even without saying a word, you somehow understand what one is trying to convey to you just by smiling. There is not a person who does not know how to smile, unless he is physically constrained to flex his facial muscles for some reason. And yet, deep inside that individual, he may be smiling although he is not able to flex his lips in an effort to demonstrate the expression. Indeed, in the human world, a smile serves to be a universal language that connects people of all cultures and civilizations.
Smile and enjoy the weekend :-)
