Went for a family celebration and found our visit to be fantastic. The service was great, the food was lovely, & both the waiter and all the staff were attentive & professional. ��

Very good food and service. Though I do think all hot drinks should be available on Christmas Day as people like a choice after their meal

I can’t believe how many negative comments this particular Harvester gets.. every time I’ve visited, whether with just my partner or in a group with friends I’ve been shown nothing but exceptional customer service. Food has always been delivered to a high standard and has been delicious. Staff are welcoming and enthusiastic. I drive to the Boldmere branch as the harvesters near me in Walsall are abysmal. My favourite Harvester pub.

Had a great meal at The Harvester in Boldmere today to celebrate our 26th Wedding Anniversary. The waitress was friendly & helpful & the meal delicious. We liked the new menu. Thank you :)

A wonderful experience and the customer service was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble with over 20 of us eating, everything was served hot & together. It was all correct and the staff were ver helpful to ensure our visit was a good one.



Well Done

Visited Friday evening on impulse as pub isn't too far from us. Was worried we wouldn't get in but not that busy at all , so could choose where to sit. There was a lady on the desk who offered to get me a table, but my husband who was sorting the car park ticket didn't arrive immediately and when he finally did she had wandered off. There was confusion over what time you had to pay until as it was a new machine and another customer joined us to check the situation ? It wasn't clear and was told if we did get booked to bring it in to claim it back! Other than that , the salad bar was stocked up, but did mention I had last dregs of lettuce . I tried to order a baked potato with my spit roast chicken but they had non, surprisung for a popular night that wasn't busy so had to pay upgrade for sweet potatoe fries... Things have changed in my years of coming too Harvester obviously due to increasing costs, and cut backs in staff.

In all though our meal was very enjoyable the spit roast chicken hardly ever dissapoints ! My husband's fish was good and our shared cheesecake tasty. Our waitress was nice and attentive which went towards an enjoyable evening..

My partner and I are attending this venue for Christmas day so thought we would check it out before the day. On arrival we walked in and to the left of us was a young girl leaning on a chair chatting to a customer. To the right was a sign requesting customer to wait and a member of staff will come and take you to a table. The young girl was still deep in conversation and oblivious to our presence so we waited. About 3 minutes passed by and she was still chatting then four more people came in and joined the queue still she did not pay any attention to these people despite the fact she was right next to the door and would have clearly heard someone entering. A member of staff noticed us and came right over apologizing for us been left unattended. That member of staff, Marcus then called to the girl with all the time in the world for a chat, Gemma to attend at the front desk. We were took over to our table and ordered our drinks and left alone with time enough to decide what to eat Marcus came back and began to take our order. Unfortunately his electronic device was not working so he took the order by memory. Personally i think staff should always carry a notepad and pen for times of broken device as there was only two of us it was a fairly straightforward order to remember. The meal came in good time and everything was as expected the steak was well done as requested and both meal were hot and fresh. Marcus was attentive without been intrusive and made sure all our needs were met been friendly at all times. Overall it was a very pleasant place to dine and now feel more at ease and looking forward to our Christmas Day meal at this establishent.

Can’t really fault it. Very good, polite and pleasant staff, simple food but well cooked and tasty. Salad bar well stocked and nice. Will definately return. Maybe need to put a alternative twist on their food as apart from the salad bar does not really differ from other good competitors.

We came on a fairly quiet weds on the app deal so busier than usual but definitely not enough staff had to wait absolutely ages to be seated then again for drinks. Food was good usual harvester menu salad bar was nearly empty needed topping up! My chicken dish was very nice but the service let the place down waited ages for the bill as no waiting staff free.

Visited last night, just before 6pm. When we arrived there was a family of 3 just infront of us waiting to be seated. A waitress came and seated them, but never returned for us. After 5-10 minutes waiting, and trying to find someone to greet us (mad that, the customer looking for staff to greet them at the front desk, where it asks you to wait to be seated) I called them by phone. A lady at the bar shouted for someone to attend to us. Someone came out and seated us, took order drinks and came back to take the meal order. The food was ok, but not the best I've ever had at at Harvester. It seemed that everything was either over cooked or undercooked, it just wasn't a pleasant evening. I don't think I'll be a returning customer to Boldmere.

Went yesterday. Sent food back as both meals were cold. Staff were good though, did not have to pay for the drinks we had, hence 2 stars and not 1

We visited this evening as a party of 10 people. Negatives are 25 minutes wait for drinks from bar and that we where not advised when ordering that it is served in that order. Out of 10 meals the last meal to be order was the son's as he was in the far corner. We where served food than was sat waiting for his to come out. He did not understand and thought he had been forgotten . Yes we did say at the time and the untouched meal was refunded but please in large parties get staff to advise order kids 1st as this caused distress to little man which upset him .

Staff were friendly but the food wasn’t the standard you expect. Ribs were slimy but worse than that was the toddler meal ordered came out with 3 still frozen fish fingers. The waitress took them back and a fresh meal cooked but this then meant we were feeding our 18 month old from our plates and it all became harassing. The salad bar had lots of empty trays and the lettuce was turning brown.

How do you have no spit roast chickens on a Friday night?? This has happened on other occasions and it wasn’t because it was busy, more like they couldn’t be bothered and didn’t want to waste food! Also cold as every time front door opens a blast of cold air comes in, need an heat curtain installing over door. There was a portable heater on the side by our table which shows they clearly get complaints but it wasn’t on.

Have been here a couple of times in the last few months - 1st time was ok/average, 2nd time was not. At the 2nd visit - the place was not very busy, but we were waiting 30 mins for the waitress to take our food order, there were no bowls at the salad bar (except for 3 really dirty ones) & it took 30 minutes for more to be brought out, we were brought completely the wrong drinks, after we'd finished our starters our mains were brought out but the waitress did not take away the empty starter plates, she just squashed the mains onto the table & we had to actively call her back & ask her to take the old/empty plates away, the waitress then knocked over our drinks which went all over one of my friends, and when we asked to order desserts the waitress gave us the wrong menu & she didn't realise, we had to tell her it was the wrong one. Food was okay, but the customer service was definitely not.

Always go to Harvestor for meal with family, so disappointed with it last night. Hat to wait an hour for table then when we came to order no steak only fillet steak, should have been told this on booking the table. Also put someone different chicken to what they ordered, think time to find somewhere else.

Went yesterday no fish on menu ran out of kids burgers and thought they could get away with putting half an adult burger on the bun instead steak was tough as boots n it was freezing in there won't be going there again!

Not impressed and I used to love it here! Staff were lovely and did try to seat us elsewhere when we asked to be moved away form the cold draughty windows. My 6 year old was very excited as she loves the salad bar, sadly not very impressed to find; no cucumber, no sweetcorn (apparently this was due to come out but never did), no bread rolls or butter, eventually found a member of staff and was told they were in the oven! No indication of how long they would be, heard other customers asking minutes later and were given same answer.

Asked for a jug of water and were given a plastic jug which looked more like something used for measuring in a kitchen, not the cleanest looking, but having complained about being cold and seeing how busy staff were we didn't mention it.

My 6 year old had sausage in a yorkshire pudding, it was solid and the mash I suspect was smash type potato, I let her get away without eating hardly any off it.

The food was a disappointment generally, cold chips, dry chicken.

We visited the toilets before we left, one was in an awful state with toilet rolls on the floor next to the ladies sanitary bin, we used the other but there was no toilet roll at all in that one - so had to use what was available. I doubted that staff had checked these - if they had time.

It was a real disappointment and was meant to be a family treat...

Horrible food had plastic in salad from beetroot and complained and all got was sorry waitress too busy chatting to boyfriend never going again.
