been here a few times for breakfast including this morning and loved the food and service everytime! Shiela was amazing, friendly and welcoming... was lovely to have my birthday breakfast there and would highly recommend going!!

Visited today with my family before a long drive back down south. Fantastic food, great atmosphere reasonably priced for the quality. They provided a sharp knife for The original combo. (Ribs and 1/4 Chicken) didn't need it, the meat fell off the bone. My kids also loved the soft play. Will deffo be back the next time I'm up seeing family.

Visited for the first time for breakfast on Sunday, Lisa & Sheila couldn’t of been more helpful really friendly and nothing was a problem. Would definitely recommend food was lovely and well worth the money . We will be visiting again

The Harvester Ryhope is our stomping ground & all the staff new & old know our faces & voices now. Today we came in & partook in the buy a main meal & get a second for a £1 which is a fabulous offer, hubby had the steak sandwich which was cooked to perfection I can vouch for that as I tried a small bit & I had the fried Huloumi cheese which was amazing given I am now going back to being a veggie. We often pop in just for a drink & a packet of nibblies as we don't want a big meal or even just have some of the tapas sharing starters which again is great as I don't eat a lot after surgery on my stomach (I had my spleen removed so have to be careful & eat small but often). We have become quite friendly with a couple of your staff members which as patrons of your establishment is a nice thing because it is lovely to see a friendly face along with an excellent atmosphere. The food is always hot & tasty as well as being fresh as it is all cooked to order & for myself who doesn't touch alcohol the different offerings of non alcohol drinks is a welcoming sight.

Paul who is one of the chefs there is a lovely young man who is ever so friendly & an excellent chef he is a pleasure to talk to when he is on a break.

Given I am a trained chef myself we can be critical of other peoples cooking skills YET I have none when it comes to his.

My husband, 1 year old daughter and I visited The Harvester this morning for breakfast at 9am. We have been to a local Carvery restaurant for breakfast a few times but after a very disappointing visit last week we decided to give The Harvester a try for the first time. We were not disappointed. The food was lovely and fresh and plentiful - we both ordered the unlimited cooked breakfasts but were finished after one plate as we were given plenty. The breakfast bar full of cereal, toast, muffins etc was also a nice extra. Our daughter ate her own weight practically in bits from the breakfast bar plus things from our plates but our waitress never tried to say we needed to order something for her separately, as some places do. The waitress was called Dawn and she was lovely. I always try to clear away the mess my baby leaves on the floor with dropped bits of food whenever I leave a restaurant, but I think today was the first time a waitress stopped me and insisted she didn't mind doing it. I in no way think it is a waitress's job to clean up my child's mess but it is appreciated when they offer to do it! This is our new favourite place for breakfast and I'm sure my two older kids will love it when I take them (and pay for them!) for breakfast during the summer holidays. Many thanks.

Me and my family come here all the time with the kids my oldest daughter is 12 and she still goes on the soft play with her sister..very friendly staff always made to feel welcome..already booked the Halloween disco..breakfast with Santa and the Christmas eve disco also booked my daughter's bday party in October so you's will be seeing us more ☺ thank you xx

Love the harvester here at ryhope. Often come for breakfast, always get the all in breakfast it's so good, fresh cooked and amazing value for money.. Often served by Sheila and she is so so friendly, genuine, chatty person makes us feel so welcome. Also a keen gardener with a wonderful display of flowers out the back.. Thanks again harvester family ������x

Just had a great breakfast, massive mushrooms and very tasty bacon. Highly recommend and the staff are very nice as well took time out to have a chat. Thank you Sheila for a lovely start to the day

I made a reservation for last Saturday for over 40 people for my sons 1st Birthday. I pre ordered food for everyone in advance. I was so happy when we got there that Jamie the manager had arranged for a section nearest the play area to be reserved for us. They also put balloons on all the tables free of charge. Food came as agreed 45 mins after we artived. Considering it was such a large order it went very smoothly. Everyone got what they asked for with no problems. We we checked on throughout to make sure everything was ok the food was great and they even helped with my son's huge cake. Couldnt fault it at all thank you to all the staff for helping us make my boys first birthday so enjoyable ����

I almost went into the McDonald’s opposite for my breakfast and I’m so glad I didn’t.



Fast service, my server (Shelia) was hospitable, and the food was great.

Fantastic friendly staff we used the soft play first thing this morning they saved they day as my son was realy looking forward to soft play before I went to a class at silksworth sports centre but it was closed. So someone recommended the harvester. I had not realised there was a soft play at the harvester I defo know now and will be returning soon. We will look to team up with a lunch out next time especially due to the very friendly staff. Thanks for saving the day.

Didn't realise they did breakfasts until saw sign at side of road and will definitely be returning!



The food is excellent..although unlimited breakfast, you're asked to order items and they're cooked fresh to order and very good value for money. If youve still got space after that you can order more hot items freshly done too!



All breakfasts include continental breakfast bar with a really good choice of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast, crumpets and drink too.



Service was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and Sheila was so welcoming and friendly. Excellent quality and great value for money...would definitely recommend!

Csnt beat all you can eat breakfast made fresh to order. Good value for money. Sheila and Kerri have it run so well, friendly and homely atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Cannot fault this place at all, i have a gluten allergy and find it difficult to find meals that i enjoy or that are to my taste. Jade the chef is the best chef, she cooks the best food. Every time i have eaten there her food is absolutely faultless and i leave feeling full and happy. Service was good too.

Breakfast with family on Saturday morning. Fantastic, no hot buffet breakfast, instead this is made to your request here, poached eggs too if you want. Selection of cereals, crumpets too. Can even order more when you are done but we couldn't have possibly. Black pudding too. Wide variety of other breakfast options. Lovely staff, only hoping this was the right one for our review Shiela.

Been here this morning for the first time food was absolutely amazing had a all you can eat breakfast everything is cooked fresh and done pretty quick get loads to choose from well worth the money staff is very attentive and friendly would highly recommend couldn't fault a thing will definitely be back soon

Been for dinner and breakfast now both times really enjoyed what we had and great service from Sheila. With the breakfast you can order as much as you want and there's also a continental bar you can help yourself to with plenty of choice. Will be back again soon, Thank you

1st time in for breakfast, got the £8.49 unlimited and can’t complain at all. Food lovely all cooked to order, the staff warm and friendly (Sheila and Lisa dealt with us), definitely recommend it. 1 word of advice, pace yourself �

After visiting the soft play (which could do with a deep clean) we decided to stay for some lunch. Waited 10 minutes to be seated even though it wasn’t busy and people coming in from the other side of the restaurant were being seated straight away. Wasn’t advised about kids having certain drinks included in the meal deals and before we’d even sat down we were asked if we would like drinks. I just ordered soft drinks for me and my son - not having had time to read the menu. He had chicken strips and to say we were both disappointed with them was an understatement - The fast food place over the road do 3 massive chicken strips for the same price! - it was thin slices of chicken (looked like the frozen stuff you buy in Iceland) with a few chips and sweet corn. I had chicken wrap - which only had avocado in one half and more salsa than chicken. It was ok. We both had ice cream for after - I had peach Melba sundae - which was nice but I felt wasn’t worth the price as it was nearly all squirty cream, little ones sundae was a bargain as it was basically an ice cream cornet on a plate. Came to almost £25 but definitely not value for money. Will I be back? Not in a hurry as there are nicer, better value places to eat in the local area (and it’s not the place over the road!)
