The dishes for the salad were clean unlike another Harvester I visit, the staff were great, fantastic sense of humour. I sat eating my meal watching them work and they all worked together as a team one big family atmosphere.

Lovely welcome very attentive young man excellent selection of buffet style food

Ordered breakfast cooked fresh so it was to order had what I wanted and it was hot and bloody delicious

Will definitely be going back and would recommend

Friendly greeting on arrival, main meals arrived within five minutes or ordering and superb service from our waiter Alex.



This was our first visit, will definitely be returning soon.

lovely place to go for a meal lovely atmosphere only there was no air condition and no windows that opened if we could of ate outside we would of very uncomfortable in this heat

We had a lovely meal, thank heavens they have brought my vegi bean burger back as the previous beetroot burger was horrible. Can't fault the staff or food. Can be a little pricey especially as I pay the same as someone who eats meat but the salad bar and unlimited pop works out great value.

Early bird menu, big help when on pension but still good quality food and wonderful salad bar. Our waiter on this occasion was friendly young man named James. Watched his interaction with surroundings diners and he is a credit to Harvester 😉

We came for a special meal with friends last night,the welcome was not very nice our server was not the best we had long wait to order when the drinks came were not correct w and my tea was cold and broken tea bag could not drink I asked for refill clean cup and fresh pot was charged for both ..long wait after starter for main had to chace twice ..my main was a burger it rock hard on out side burned hard to cut could no eat frys hard and cold ..even chesse was cold on it sent back when next one came it was burned on outside I cut a bit of it off cut in middle bit in and was freezing cold frys cold also I had to send back it put me off I refused another try ,by this time my friends had all eaten there's anyway , I asked to have taken off bill totally ruined the eve ..now to add to it I've been ill all night I did say the stater was not right I did not eat all of it ..it was a special night ,we will not be returning and I will be contacting was office .

Very disappointed as this was my birthday meal after asking waitress for 2 different types of wine which she said they didn't stock suddenly they had the wine when my partner asked her to check with the bar . Order taken for starters then after waiting half an hour no sign of it arriving we approached the manager who said he new of the delay and would deduct starters from the bill (why didn't he tell us there was a delay) then had to wait again for the main meal and when It finally arrived after yet chasing again the steak was dreadful it was burnt and tough. Won't be returning . In a nutshell poor service, staff not knowledgeable and unpleasant meal .

Not the greatest meal. There were 10 of us, my 12 year old ordered off the Older Kids menu and her meal was smaller than the meals of the bigger appetites menu !!! How does that work ? We also didn't get the additional side order of corn on the cob we ordered despite asking once everyone had their main meals when I asked for it to be removed off the bill because we didn't get it I was told "sorry, it probably got lost in the kitchen or something "

Haven't been for a while and this was not great

My husband, our two boys and I came in last week as part of a group and was really looking forward to our visit. I really love the salad bar and having been previously had already planned what I was going to order. After being seated a pleasant young lady took our order and we went off to the salad bar. The salad and stuff was lovely as usual but we seemed to have to wait quite a while for our meals, I understand that the restaurant was busy but table close to us had come in after we had and had received their food. My meal was quite nice but my husband asked for his steak to be medium rare and it was burnt to a crisp, in fact all the meat on his plate was overcooked. My eldest sons chicken was dry and overcooked and the waitress somehow didn't even put my youngest sons order through so he had to wait for around 10mins, after they had brought out everything else's for his food. The whole experience was very underwhelming and to top it off they tried to charge me for large chips when I hadn't ordered them!! Two or three people in our group had issues with their food also, overcooked, wrong sauce, no sauce and missing stuff. Not great!

I understand that the restaurant was busy. I came with my friend on the evening of 5/01/2018. I booked a table for 7:30pm we didn't get seated until 8ish, we had to wait for a while for someone to take our order and we had to wait a while for our food that we ordered and it was served to us about 8.20-8.30ish, got our food at about 9 and we left at 9.45 we also had to wait a while to pay for our bill. Me,my family and my friend regularly eat at harvester. Overall I am very disappointed with my experience.

Came because of the vegan breakfast. Was very busy so I understand waiting for service. We weren’t told it was self service coffee until asked when the server said ‘oh my bad’! Breakfast when it came was cold. Had to send it back and when it returned it was just slopped on the plate and the bottom of the plate was covered in food. Extremely disappointed and won’t be returning.

After having a good visit previously we thought that my husband and I would visit for our anniversary. I am a fussy eater and knew that I could have fish fingers. Unfortunately when we got there I was left disappointed that they had no fish fingers at all! I was left (while my husband ate his meal) with a bowl of chips and bread rolls.

The staff however I couldn't fault. They were lovely and polite and couldn't of been more helpful. It may now mean that as I have no alternative to eat I might not be able to come

For a meal again and I wouldn't be able to eat anything.

It is a lovely place but the lack of food choice left me disappointed.

Myself and my friend had dinner here this evening, both dishes had very spongy and dry meat. The noodles in the salad bar appeared frozen. There was not enough time between courses to finish your meal! I won't be returning for a while!!

Literally just left after appalling service. We get seated by the manager who said our server CATLEN would be with us shortly. Three other tables filled up by us and she came up ignored us three times serving all the other tables.



20mins we waited without being served. So we got up and left now sat in castle gatw harvester having lovely service



Will not be coming back to this harvester again

I asked for my order to have steamed veg as I’m on a diet and didn’t wait lots of oil. My food cane covered in oil with hardly any veg. I sent it back and it returned with loads more oil. I returned it and was told that the veg was just prepared that way and there was nothing they could do. When I emailed to complain, I had an apology but was told again that their veg is pre-prepared and that the restaurant was correct but that they hope I return again very soon. I will never come back to harvester again.

Here with a family of 17 for my mothers birthday.

No gas for refillable drinks, you would rather use the gas for the carling even though you have a range of beers already available, forcing us to buy individual expensive drinks.

Not what we expected, no discount offered either and not happy at all.
