We had a lovely family meal! I’ve got 2 young boys and the staff were so friendly and helpful! The food was really great and the salad bar was the best we’ve had at a harvester! X

We eat at the Harvester regularly and absolutely love the food. We have never had a bad meal, the restaurant is always kept clean which makes for a nice eating environment and the staff are always friendly and welcoming, even when busy. Would definitely recommend Amesbury Harvester.

Lovely outside seating area with plenty of shade if required on a Sunny day. Lovely fresh salad and our main dishes were very tasty � would definitely recommend to family and friends �

Had a lovely steak here yesterday on Saturday 16/06/2018. Service and food was second to none. Me and my partner had a beautiful meal and will be revisiting for definite from now 😊

Even though it was very busy with the bank holiday, the staff were very attentive and food came in a reasonable time and was hot �

Been meeting up with family this time every year for a long time. As always lovely meal lovely staff the perfect pre Christmas get together. Will see you all again next year. Would visit more often but both of us families live 2 hours away in opposite directions. Thank you xx

We stopped off yesterday for a meal, heading back to Somerset from London. Friendly staff and good food. I see other people have mentioned poor service on their reviews but we had good service.

We go here at least once a week,the service gets abit long when it's busy but the food is always hot and we'll presented, don't use the salad bar so can't comment on this

Staff were all lovely and the food was good BUT......

Having to wait nearly forty minutes between the starter and he main was ridiculous and the sundaes are served in a big glass bowl of which the inside of the bowl is nowhere as big as the outside. Felt slightly robbed by this optical illusion.

Lovely food and friendly staff, just a shame they are under staffed on a weekend, hat to wait for table when tables was free as staff was busy trying to sort everyone out. Think the staffing problem is the main issue as table and floors was dirty

booked a table for 8 people for daughter's 20th birthday only to be told when we arrived that it had not been put on the system.

had to sit on 2 seperate tables.

also had to ask for cutlery to be able to eat the very poor availability at the salad bar.

waitress not very attentive, or even interested in holding a conversation with either table.

also had to return a steak as was not cooked to what was ordered.

don't think its worth another visit.

The staff was excellent, rushed off their feet tonight (25th November) but were friendly and happy.

2 star cause I now have horrid food poisoning.

Had a BBQ chicken stack or something along those lines with sweet potatoes fries.



The only flavour was the BBQ sauce. The rest had no flavour.



I wouldn't complain if I wasn't sick. I know it gets busy and food gets belt fed out.. but maybe someone should check food is cooked or not contaminated before leaving the kitchen. Things get overlooked when busy.

After avoiding your Harvester for about a year due to poor food & service last visit we decided to give it another go and went earlier today for a meal, granted it was busy but service was awful. Got told something's were not available and that our waitress would tell us what they were.



By the time waitress appeared we find out that one of the meals we wanted was not available and as this was a vegetarian option left very little choice left.



Ordered meals then went for salad which was lacking. Duplicate options and some empty pots. Went back to table unable to find no knives, took a while to get some.



Drinks glasses then arrived so went to get drinks to find that the Pepsi Max just produced syrup (mentioned to passing waitress who dashed off leaving me stood there to eventually return saying nothing wrong) got barman to redo drinks from there (the only member of staff I interacted with today that provided decent service).



When meals arrived I had no corn on the cob so asked why "oh we don't have any" not happy to have not been told that when I ordered. Was offered peas then which did come relatively quick.



Wanted to order desert but when my daughter went to place order whilst I was away from table (I gave her 4 choices just incase any were unavailable), the waitress then argued that ice cream was not available with banofee pie (despite was menu says) and that they didn't have any anyway. I returned to table to find that the waitress would come back in a minute to get order 15 mins later nothing when she finally returned asked for bill and gave up on getting a dessert.



Over £50 paid out for 3 meals & 2 refillable drinks as husband had tap water to leave feeling extremely dissatisfied with yourselves. Complained to waitress who quite honestly couldn't care less. All 3 waitresses I interacted with today were all lacking in customer service skills.



The only thing we did like today was the main meals that we did get so well done to your kitchen staff.

The food was ok, but the service was rubbish, very rude staff and the standard of the salad bar was in a shocking state. This has been the worst meal out we have ever had in the local area. But the one thing that really stood out was the shocking standard of the staff.

Terrible service. We have been sat in the bar area with kids with no offer to wait for a table. ALEX stecfox the manager in charge has a terrible attitude towards his customers.

Hannah the bar lady purposely did not put the £1 kids voucher through the till and then the manager ALEX expected us to pay the bill again to have this charged to our bill. When I complained the bar staff felt the need to laugh rather than deal with the issue.

Personally I love it and find the food good. Service usually terrible but im not cooking or washing up so don’t care much. My daughter has multiple allergies and always order something ‘safe’ as per the allergy folder but she still gets a reaction! So cross contamination must be an issue.

One of the rudest harvesters I’ve ever been to. Management. They need management skills. You certainly belittled yourself. Even other members of the public were laughing at you.

Dread to think what your attitude is when it’s busy

Never experienced service so terrible in my life. There was barely anything at the salad bar and very few vegetarian options were available. I’m extremely disappointed as the harvester has always been my favourite restaurant, and I was excited about the wider variety of vegetarian and vegan options available but this seems pointless since the restaurant had run out of most options.
