Lovely meal and atmosphere for my dads 70th birthday...waitress was great and knew her job well. Would definitely recommend.

User

Had a great night with friends, great food and great service from our waiter Chris

User

Fantastic customer service. Steve at front of house could not do any more for us than he did. Will 100% be going back. Kids had a fab time too.

User

Fantastic customer service from the staff here in Sutton Common branch. The food is always cooked well and served hot and Casey the waitress in particular always goes the extra mile to make sure customers time here is enjoyable. She is great with my 2 little ones too which is not always the same at other food establishments!

User

Came in for some food after a short shift. Had wonderful service by the amazing Sam. Food cooked great. Would 100% come again

User

Went there last night and met my friend there. Was seated after a 5 minute wait. My friend joined me shortly. Upon being seated it took 20 minutes for the Lady Waitress to take our Mains order. She did explain there were only 3 staff in 4 including manager. And it was the start of the 50% Off Voucher day. She explained that she'd had some large orders to take previously to us. But when I looked around my view of the restaurant was quiet. However when our food arrived it was ok but my Jacket Potato looked burnt on the outside. So not very appealing to the eye. I asked for mint sauce but you no longer supply mint sauce anymore. The white bread rolls were hard. And the pineapple was turning pink from the salad bar because somebody had spilt beetroot into it. When our dessert was brought to us we both had a St Clements Sundae the ice cream and sauce was leaking from the top where it was melting. Suggestion as suggested before. Put ice cream in cold glasses kept in the chiller/fridge or freezer. Not served in warm glasses that are still warm from being washed up. And serve ice cream desserts on a plate with a serviette on it. Would save our ice cream melting so fast. And causing a mess for the waitress to clean up. When she was already stressed. And said she was working past her hours when she should have finished at 10pm.

It’s great for family meals they cater for large groups. Parking is free that’s a bonus. My one complaint is that the menu is not very comprehensive. If you like ribs hamburgers and steak you’ll be fine. Oh and you get free pop refills.

In a party of 18 going to the Plough, Sutton for early Xmas dinner. Booked 19.11.17 at 1pm. They hadn't reserved the table! Even after weeks of telephone calls etc. But thanks to the staff, especially waitress Casey we eventually got our meal at 3 pm. We did have a good time in the end but we didn't leave until 4.30! The food was tasty and good price for 3 course Xmas meal.

User

Went with my son and granddaughter and I must say the food was very mediocre and not up to its usual standard. Had to wait quite long for our main meal to be served and when it was it was simply tasteless which was a real disappointment. Don’t think I will be going back anytime soon

User

We have used the Harvester for many years and apart from the odd bit of tough steak we have always enjoyed our meals there. However last night was not the case we popped in for a meal to celebrate my Birthday and quite frankly I wished I had ordered a take away piza. The service was very slow the meal can only be described as average and warm and I left most of it which I have never done before my son and his partner ordered gravy with there meal and it looked like week tea I complained so they brought in some more which once again looked like week tea. We asked for the pudding menu but waited so long to place our order that we gave up and asked for the bill. Also the beer was warm I felt sorry for our waitress as she was working so many tables as they were clearly understaffed. When we arrived we were greeted by a man who I have never seen before who I can only assume is a new manager I in fact thought he was a customer by the casual way he was dressed. If he is the new manager then in will not be going back there again as he clearly is NOT managing on the whole very very disappointing I only gave a two because our waitress was so pleasant and helpful otherwise they would have got a 1

Visited here with my husband, our two children, my friend and her daughter. We booked the table in advance so were seated straight away. Someone came over and took a drinks and then a food order quite quickly. The food wasn't too bad, the jacket potatoes looked a bit grey inside which usually means they have been sitting around in a hotplate for ages (I work in catering so I've seen it plenty of times)

The salad bar has really gone downhill and looked half empty and messy.

We finished our meals, the waitress forgot to put our order of onion rings through, she apologized but was a bit annoying. She brought over dessert menus and we never saw her again after that. No one then seemed to be assigned to the section we were sitting in, We waited at least 20 minutes to order desserts and we were only able to do it then because we managed to catch another waiter's attention by waving at him across the restaurant, who knows how long we would behave waited otherwise! . We then waited at least another 25 minutes to get them. Halfway through the wait we did manage to catch a woman who I think was the manager and asked her to check what was happening with them as we had been waiting ages. She came back and said, "oh he has just gone to do them" No apologies for the wait. As they were mainly ice creams I can't see why it took so long! 2 hours in the restaurant for main coures and desserts is far too long, especially when it wasn't that busy! Think I'll try The George next time!

User

On arriving husband went to the bar to purchase beer and Diet Pepsi for ourselves and two guests. He was disappointed to find only Doom Bar bitter on draft the rest on draft being lager or cider so he ordered two bottled beers and two diet Pepsi only to be given two empty glasses and told to get the Pepsi ourselves from the restaurant; the area where the soft drinks was located was flooded with water running from a tap and could not be stopped, there were no lemon slices as was normal when purchasing from the bar. I then had to wait several minutes to book a table as no one was around. We finally got a table and ordered our food, drinks and a bottle of wine; the wine arrived but we were informed there were no wine glasses available and given half pint hi-ball glasses. My steak was difficult to cut and totally unchewable, after complaining the waitress arranged for another steak to be cooked but by the time that arrived the rest of the table had finished their main course so I ate alone. On top of that I had asked for a well done steak and the second one was medium, I ordered a jacket potato and chips were put on the plate. And dont get me started on the state of the Ladies - dirty, broken toilet roll holder with the toilet roll sitting on top of the feminine hygiene bin. Will not be visiting again.

User

Left totally underwhelmed with the poor quality of cooking in this place. Did I say cooking I should say heating up, let me explain, my mixed grill turned up with an over cooked egg no peppercorn sauce minor problem I hear you say.

Wait a minute the sausage looked under cooked and when I cut into it it was not even warm, I complained the waitress said they come in pre cooked. To there credit they replaced my meal.

My question is 3 meals 3 soft drinks £47 pound for re heated food was it worth it, I'll let you decide.

User

We were very disappointed. My husbands angry bird burger was not cooked, my daughters steak was just a lump of gristle and fat. When it got sent back the second steak was just as bad. The manager was very apologetic but it ruined our evening.

User

Beware, this restaurant now has now chosen to partner with automatic parking enforcement at the restaurant.

When we visited a few weeks ago the signage was extremely unclear and, on my own with children, managed to miss the new registration entry system on arrival, having been ushered straight to a table.

Two weeks later, an invoice for £85 arrived in the post for parking that evening.

I spoke to the restaurant, they have apparently had major problems with the new system and would email the Euro Car Parks thugs to have the ticket cancelled. They asked me to come to the restaurant with the letter and would sort out the issue. Great. I headed to the restaurant a few days later, gave all the information and left the letter with them, and was assured this would be the end of the matter.

Surprise surprise. Plough Harvester didn't bother. Today, received threats of court action from them as the ticket hasn't been paid and they have received no communication from anyone - they can't pass the buck and blame ECP, M&B/Harvester engage them and must take the blame themselves for this stupid choice. Off course, no-one is answering the phones today so yet another visit to get this farce resolved.

Aside from the general mid-to-poor quality of food, frequent low stocks of salads food and drinks and consistently low staffing levels, along side the latest significant increase in prices, there is no way we will revisit this site, especially with the excellent George in Morden so nearby. Oddly enough, both have the same area manager, so why the quality of the two sites is so different is anyone's guess.

Thanks Harvester.
