Decent mechanic there, knows their stuff and does a ok-ish job. Pricing for both servicing and parts are JOKES. For emergency, probably.
Very poor quality of service and very expensive, I had my front bike tyre flat 3 times in a row in less than a week and each time they charge me £12 for the tube. very disappointed!!!
Fantastic service and very friendly, helpful staff. We stopped there today as I had a puncture whilst out cycling miles from home and stupidly did not have a repair kit with me.
They fixed it straight away and even charged £3 less than the expected rate as that was all the money that I had on me!
I would definitely recommend them!
Couldn't even get a simple tyre fixed for 3 times.?
Popped in with a mechanical on a long ride up north. The mechanic quickly spotted I'd clamped my bar bag on to my gear cable and helped me out despite being stacked with work. He basically saved the ride - highly recommended! ; )
My bike developed a creak which are always hard to diagnose and the team and Hatfield Cycles couldn't be more helpful. Having an important event coming up they managed to find & cure the problem with little expense and the result was fantastic, can't recommend enough!
Mostly harmless. They specialize in road bikes clothes and servicing now. Tools have gone because they needed the wall space for parts, which is fair enough. I try to shop there but they don't usually have stuff I want. If you want things in a hurry or cheap you are better off shopping on line.
Open on Sundays during the summer only
BEWARE. I bought in my Lapierre Spicy to Hatfield Cycles. Alarm bells started to ring because staff members stopped what they where doing & started to stare at the bike.
The bottom bracket needed replacing. I had to buy the bracket because they couldn't order it, fair enough. They fitted the bracket and assured me it's been fitted correctly. I took the bike to Les Gets bike park in France. On the last run of the first day the pedal and crank arm fell off. After taking the bike to a Lapierre dealership, I was told the bottom bracket wasn't fitted correctly (mainly because a special tool is needed) & I was very lucky it didn't come off during a run. This is completely dangerous and irresponsible. WHY! tell me it been fitted correctly just to get a bit of money, when quite clearly it hadn't. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.
PLEASE don't get them to fix your bike if its over the £500 price mark. I say this to make people aware NOT to damage your business.
Fantastic, friendly service! Worth a visit.
I only use the shop every couple of months and have been really impressed with all the changes and improvements over the years. Always very helpful and good value for money
