The newly-tooled OO Lord Nelson Class locomotive from Hornby is due next Thursday (3 Jan)!
The first variation showcases No. 851 "Sir Francis Drake" in Southern Railway olive green. As with other recent Hornby releases, the loco features a high specification with; a 5-pole skew-wound motor, 8-pin digital socket and a high quality body & cab with separately fitted handrails, pipework and other details.

Tomorrow marks the end of of some classic trains in Northern England with the final day of operation for the Direct Rail Services loco-hauled service on the Cumbrian Coast Line. This service comprised of a Class 37, Mk2F and Mk2 DBSO and is now to be replaced by multiple units.
One of our staff was fortunate enough to take a ride on Christmas Eve and got these fantastic wintry photos along the way. A defining feature of the service was the use of BR large logo blue liveried locos, bringing the livery back into mainline use!

Placed my order on a Friday evening and received the parcel on Monday afternoon. I found that to be incredible as I live in Australia, items were bubbled wrapped and in excellent condition considering the 'speed'they must have been travelling at. Look forward to purchasing again.

Just received my latest order from the team, the delivery to Australia was so fast it took just 4 days. and it was packed so well nothing was damaged. thanks to all in the shipping department and of course the whole team at Hattons.

I've purchased directly from a couple of retail model shops and many retailers selling on Amazon and eBay. Hatton's is without question equal to, and better than, most. Prices are fair, and they don't try to recover their discounts with inflated shipping charges. Before I buy, I ALWAYS check Hatton's. The acknowledgement card that comes with my purchases, signed by Christine Hatton, is indicative of their personal touch to customer service.

I've always bought online but today I chose to visit the store in person as I had some second hand items I wished to trade in. Although there was a wait while the items were checked I had a good chat with members of staff and a brew aswell! The price given for the items was really good and the service was excellent! :) thank you for your in store experience today and I shall now endeavour to try and visit the store more often! :D

I have purchased some diecast hearses and limos from Hattons, fantastic service, my models always arrived correctly as ordered and very neatly packaged.

Their prices are very reasonable and yes I will be purchasing again from Hattons. Very well done.

I do miss coming to Hattons when it used to be on Smithdown Road, I do find it difficult to visit your store near Widnes due to lack of a bus service to your store, Ithat why I've not been to visit your store & taxi fare are too expencive to visit your store.

Having ordered 2 Andrew Barclay locos, on delivery one of them was in BR livery rather than the NCB livery which had been ordered. I contacted Hattons and asked if I could pop in the next day and exchange it. This was arranged and suffice to say that I now have the correct loco. Many thanks for your help and courtesy in sorting out this situation.

I have only had one issue a while ago but problem was sorted very quickly. My recent order has arrived before due time and that's thanks to Hattons and Yodel. Will be using Hattons again soon as I need a loco and wagons. (Building single line railway in garden)

Pre-ordered a branded diecast model, arrived quickly, was returned due to bad condition of paintwork (which sould have been check by diecast QC before shipping) was offered a replacement and have been sent a replacement (awaiting arrival). Sent back 2nd class RM to be reimbursted, slight delay with refund for postage due to human error, but has been sorted quickly. Overall satisfied with everything and would recomend buying from as everyone I spoke to and dealt with was very helpful and appologetic for the order and issues

Very Poor service! Placed my first order with Hattons, looked forward to opening it when it arrived, when I opened it, it wasn’t what I ordered just a single roll of cork! Contacted them and told it was a mix up with some orders and to send it back, even when I offered to cover all the costs of the cork! So once I had printed off the free return postage label and “run out” to the nearest collect plus point, thanks again for that special trip out, that day it was just above 0’C, the cork was on its way back and my items should be with me shortly, or so I thought! 12 days after the order was placed I still hadn’t received my items. I contacted them to chase it up and was told they could see the mix up on the system but couldn’t tell me if the order had been sent out yet or when it was due. I was told they would look in to it and get back to me, i’m still awaiting that call, but meanwhile my items did arrive.

They did offer me free postage code on my next order, because Im sure I will be using Hattons again!!

Think again!
