We have been twice to the park, we love it. We came first time in 2013 with our 2 dogs and stayed in the standard caravan, check In was quick and simple and the caravan was just a standard caravan, we have come again I

April 2018 and stayed in the prestige caravan, the reception had changed slightly and the welcoming wasn't quite as friendly as the first time, however this didn't put us off, the caravan is the better one yet, more space, more modern and better for us and the dogs. Location is great and there's so much to do. Will most defo be back (and hoping the reception was more welcoming, and similar as the time in 2013)

We had never stayed at Lakeland before, but I had been to Burnham-on-sea and Devon's cliffs as a kid , but went to Craig Tara as adult in 2016 , I was bit sceptical at first because I wasn't sure if anything would match Craig Tara however Lakeland took me by surprise how amazing it was there, a lot different to Craig Tara in many ways (Smaller), but intriguing in its own way, my girlfriend also came on this holiday it was her first time to haven and her birthday gift, when we arrived we were greeted at the gates by a very happy security team who showed us to the office, we did arrive bit early so accomation was not ready and told staff that is fine as check in wasn't till 3pm anyway so we are more than happy to look around park and explore, so we did I even got a picture with funstars dressed as "Naughty Ned" now called DJ Ned I believe , 3pm arrived so we went to check in after explaining early to staff that was Georgina birthday present they were kind enough to upgrade us for free, we was due to be staying in 2 bedroom old deluxe, we had been upgraded to 3 bedroom new to park deluxe and my word it was beautiful , at first I didn't want touch anything as you could swore it was a show caravan having never stayed in a newer deluxe I can now see it is worth the extra money for future holidays , as the week went on we explored wonders of lake district I.E (Beatrix potter world, lake Windermere ) it was such a lovely place off site too, anyway back on to matters on park , we had breakfast one morning in haven bar and fair play fast, efficient, reasonable priced and delicious most of all, we all so had a great time playing mini golf, we used swimming pool twice at Lakeland compared to Craig Tara pool it was totally opposite with no slides etc and thought we might get a little bored however this was not the case , it was quite a relaxing experience.

I'm not totally sure what it is about Lakeland but it has that something special about it and been trying work it out and only thing I can put it down to having that magic spark is however wonderful, polite, friendly , helpful all the staff were , from Reception to Security to Shop to Fun stars and Bar staff/waitresses and anyone else we have missed, well done Lakeland a great team and haven should be proud to have you all as a member of staff , we did/do want go to Seton sands next , but Lakeland really put spanner in work now in a good way whether we try Seton sands or Go back to Lakeland.....once again great job.

We got home yesterday morning after a brilliant stay, opening weekend @ Haven Lakeland upgraded on arrival, which is always a nice surprise thank you. Kids had a great time with the activity team in the pool at pool party, activity team on the lake were brilliant, Alex took our no fear Fraya out on the lake for her fist attempt at paddle boarding, you could hear the laughter from the opposite side of the lake, and the activity team cheered them on the new junior segways are brilliant fun, our little son shine Joseph was a bit timid but in no time at all the activity team and a few cheers from us on the side lines he was off whizzing around and he loved them, at the end the team told them some haven activities might look hard but it's always worth a try, was lovely. Got a fantastic group of FunStars, introtroced themselves on our first night there and kept us laughing and entertained the whole weekend. The cleaners at the live lounge also deserve a huge pat on the back so friendly, and always helpful, and a big thank you to security kept a check on kids scooters. Got a great team at haven Lakeland and we had a fantastic time staying! XXX hope I haven't missed anyone out, we had a brilliant stay from start to finish. Plenty to do for the whole family, would recommend pedal boating on the lake, and all lake activities, of course the new junior segways and this year we brought back a souvenir from our first haven holiday of 2018 from pic and paint, looking forward to many more haven holidays and making memories.

We go here to Lakeland every year have done since my kids were little and now I take my grand children. I love it. We all do. It's homely and happy. Nothing's to much trouble. Everyone's friendly and in March my granddaughter made that many friends she didn't want to go home. Will continue to go every year sometimes twice.

Twice here once in April for Easter and this weekend may bank hokiday... Always a great little family holiday, both my girls (aged 7 and 2) love it here, there is so much to do and see and get involved in... we will be making more visits very soon... all staff are lovely, welcoming and friendly... fully recommended to all..

On our way home from lakeland holiday park. Had the best week. Went to the safari zoo, the cruise, the aquarium and loads to do in the park also went swimming, paddle boats, kayaking and the kids spent all the cash on they machines. After 4 nights we ended up with 5595 tickets, usually when you go to these places its thousands of tickets just for one little toy, but we ended up with 2 big toys and a few little toys and a few sweets, great value.

The staff were absolutely fantastic my wee boy took a total liking for Craig and although anyone else would be like “leave me alone” lol Craig played away with my wee guy and all the staff amused the kids and even asking all the adults how there holiday was etc.

Up for going here again been to a few havens its always a great atmosphere no matter where we go.

Just returned from an amazing week at Lakeland holiday park,

The caravan was immaculate could not believe it wasn't new, everything worked, no signs of wear and very clean,

The site is beautiful, well kept, and tidy.

Didn't use the club, but spent time in the bar/restaurant with no complaints.

All staff friendly and welcoming,

Will be returning

Just got home today. Had a brilliant week at Lakeland. Reception staff are really helpful. The funstars were brilliant with my son and my great nephew. And the activity staff made us feel welcome and we loved it here. Would deffantly coming back soon. Thank you for a brilliant week xx

User

Just back from our weekend away, yet again absolutely fantastic, kids loved it as usual. Just wanted to say how great Craig is, he was brilliant with my little girl, he made such a fuss of her all weekend and she couldn’t wait to see him and dance and play games. Thanks for a great time again will definitely be back!

User

Had a fantastic weekend with my family. The funstars were brilliant. One in particular stood out to us, he brought my very shy boy out of his shell. He wouldn't get up out of his chair on thw first night but by the end of our holiday he was up on stage. Can't thank Danny enough. What a credit to you company

User

Fantastic Site we've just had our first haven trip here in our tourer, all the facilities are brilliant. We visited with our 2 sons aged 4&6, they have loved every minute of our holiday, especially the funstars who were fantastic with them. We would like to say a special thank you to Danny who was amazing with our eldest son Ben who took a shine to him and kept following him around, Danny took Ben under his wing and made him feel special and we really appreciate it.

User

Absolute amazing site great entertainment staff are always happy to help but theres danny the fun star that has been brilliant and made it a holiday to remember very professional my kids absolutely love him he’s a credit to the team and a keeper. You Danny should be holding your head high and be proud of what your doing.

User

We are still here for our last evening on a long weekend. We have absolutely LOVED this place all the staff have been so polite nothing has been too much trouble and the facilities are perfect for the kids and they have been able to have freedom to play without us at their sides permanently. The only reason that I haven’t given 5 stars is that the restaurant was slow to take orders and clear tables away and the bar and outside eating areas were not cleared or the area litter cleared often enough leaving it looking unkept.

User

It is a lovely park with loads to do the only bad thing I would say is that you should get told that when you are taking children that you should pre book or book on your arrival day for any activities you want to do even the free ones as they get booked up so my boys couldn’t do any of the activities apart from swim, pedalo and bikes

User

Very clean and welcoming site with staff that were friendly and certainly trying their best. The truth is that the facilities on the site are simply not fit for purpose when the site is busy. The worst of which is the activity booking desk, just two tills and two members of staff in a tiny shed trying desperately to cope with the volume of people wanting to book everything the site offers, I felt really sorry for them as by the time customers got to the front of the q after waiting outside in the cold they were usually pretty fed up.

The restaurant has nowhere near enough seating particularly for when the weather is bad as as it was this weekend. I’ve given 3 stars as what facilities are there are of a high standard but the crowded conditions made it a stressful experience especially with children.

I would return but only in the week and outside school holidays as the site really is only set up to be half empty.

User

Absolutely lovely grounds, clean, tidy caravan and Dog friendly. My only issue is lack of bars and restaurants. Stumbled on the Otters bar only to notice that it’s for “Owners only” plus they had there own festival ... again not included.

The staff were ok but needed more clearing table outside ( never seen one as guest trying to clear just to sit down) shame Haven as would come again xx

User

On first impressions as we drove in I was feeling that I’d made a really good decision to come here, I’d read the reviews, read what was on site and surrounding area’s (by the way the BEACH advertised is non existent), also made sure it was suitable for our 2 1/2 year old. First evening was lovely, got set up and chilled out, then decided to pop to the shop to get the essentials. Well, the shop, what can I say? Very, very over priced....£1.60 for a small bottle of pop, nearly £1.50 for a 4 pint of milk, nearly £4 for a sandwich and over £5 for a pack of 6 cans of coke! There was hardly any fresh fruit or veg, no meat other than brown mince. The shop assistant wasn’t concentrating and scanned numerous items twice, then decided he would scan all my items again and try to charge me twice some things 3 times the amount and was flapping.

Our first full day our car decided to break after having to travel 25 miles to the nearest town with a supermarket (Barrow). Our second day because our car was now in the garage we decided to use the onsite facilities and take our little boy swimming, the outside pool had been advertised on the internet and did state that it wouldn’t be open until Friday but, on walking around the pool there was no outside changing facility and no access to the inside pool without having to go inside the arcade, the outside pool was still filthy and has lots of tiles missing and looks incredibly run down (they’ve had all winter and all of the sunny days to get this sorted)!!! Once we got in the pool there was only 2 our of the 5 water features working when asked why, the lady said they were short staffed and needed 3 lifeguards instead of 2 which was disappointing. The restaurant is overpriced to and cost us £37 near £38 for 2 adult meals a child meal and 3 drinks! No starters, no desserts & no extras. Haven is meant to be a family orientated site and we have visited a few now and unfortunately for us this and maplethorpe have been the 2 worst sites. Not to mention the miserable lifeguards, bar staff and arcade assistants. Not a budget family friendly site!

User

Just got back after a mon to Friday stay last week. The caravan was filthy , ant infested, tv didn’t work, bedroom door off it’s hinges upon arrival, pool was awful smelt of sewage and the indoor pool had 100’s of dead bugs, spiders flies etc it was awful, went to reception all I got was sorry and a refund for cleaning products I had to buy to clean the van before I stayed in it . No one came to fix the door, no one came to fix the hinge - I wouldn’t mind but we upgraded to prestige and 2pm check in and it was the most run down dirty caravan I’ve ever stayed in and this is my 6th year of haven holidays at different uk sites. I can honestly say this has put me off caravan holidays for a long time.

User

It was our first time here got to caravan and there must of been 50 fly’s in it there was a hole in window where there was coming in and netcurtains had all holes in them went and told them we wasn’t happy. They moved us to another caravan straight away everything was going ok until the second night when electric trip just before midnight try to ring out of hours number and it said sorry not possible to connect you right now so I had to go out in the dark with my phone light to fix it myself so for our first time wasn’t a good one and need to make the most of our holidays with my husband having terminal prostate cancer so every moment counts will stick to primrose valley.
